Liliev is the new Open Russian Champion after defeating Denis Cyplenkov in the final. Liliev won matches 1 and 3 by flash pin and Cyplenkov won 2 and 4 in staps. Liliev won the final match in straps after a war.
Zoloev defeated Pushkar in the fight for 3rd place winning 3 matches in a hook.
Cyplenkov and Pushkar previously had 3 strap wars in the semifinals. Liliev won the other semifinal agains Zoloev who didn't pull.
The best 8 were drafted and had best of 3 matches. Semifinals and finals where best of 5.

Thank you for the update Tiberiu..
A1 gonna be an outstanding Event with all of them and all others in it.
The level on the top is getting higher & higher each day and the weight differences are still important but not that important right after 1 or 2 wars of the heavier as we can see here again..
No walking in the Park or extreme domination for No 1 anymore... ;D.

Sounds like Denis and Audrey got gased in the semis. I dont think Arsen would beat Dennis fresh.

When we look at this picture below...then its not to difficult to figure out that A.Liliev is all in for the heaviest he can ever be during the last years!. and now he won the Russian nationals Open... And he is around 25 years old right ??

I just want to know what their taking dosages and the steriods, growth hormone, and maybe myostatin blockers. because their both big, lean , and have the horsepower in them. i don't want to hear diet and training bullcrap, just what their really on, I do believe the russians are way ahead of the usa in the field

"Cyplenkov and Pushkar previously had 3 strap wars in the semifinals. Liliev won the other semifinal agains Zoloev who didn't pull."THAT was the key statement in the Opening Post of the thread, FRESH I don't really expect a changing of the guard JUST YET

It's that hot ref again! Thanks for the videos. Liliev skipped semifinals while Denis had to pull 3 wars with Pushkar.... obviously made a difference. And it shows with Pushkar too, couldn't beat Zoloev, hehe. I just got thinking.... Denis beat Mike Tood at the Arnold, Rich Lupkes, beats Pushkar now, etc.... is he that much more technical than when he pulled John in Vegas? I mean, in Zlotty when John first beat him some people said he wasn't fully ready... but several months later in Vegas John won 5-1 and seemed to pose with him! How did he make it look so easy and everyone else is having so much problems?

If they were using WAF rules Denis fouled in the secom mmatch with Andrey as his pulling shoulder went well below the pad. Denis' technical skills have definitely improved, I was pretty impressed with the way he used the elbow pad and manuvered around. Lillievs back pressure is amazing. I disagree with most of you and think that he is definitely capable of flashing Denis outside the strap!
