Kyle While we are debating, are you saying by definition all "drugs" come with an addiction? What is your definition of drug because I know you can't be talking about all "drugs" as a general statement?
David lets clarify some things. First off people can suffer addiction to things that aren't drugs. There is a difference between obsession and addiction. Drugs that create a chemical dependency though legal or not are addictive. So though no not all drugs are addictive but most have the possibility of becoming an addiction. Yes steroids become an addiction. However someone wants to label something addiction, idle, obsession, false God, lifestyle. The important question is "are you in control".

I agree with David as well. Just because your not over 200lbs and under 10% body fat, doesn't mean you aren't on. I bet there are a host of over seas pullers(and here) under 200lb using. Armwrestling is a strength sport, not bodybuilding.

If what you are saying is that guys back then were not using or never used because they did not continue to use then I believe you are wrong, some people have addictive personalitys but steroids is not an addictive drug hence the being able to constantly cycle on and off

So is what you are saying is because they are not physically addictive they in turn cannot be psychology addictive?

Ad previously stated two seperate things. But the addiction portion comes into affect when you crave it so much you pull longer cycles or stack or just don't cycle off all together.

And to your knowledge how many steroid users are doing this? Not trying to bust your balls but you are come to some conclusions about steroid users that I have personally never thought of, I don't think steroids in any sense are addictive, if you are addicted to something then I guess it's being bigger stonger faster but your body has no natural attatchment to the drug(at least not that I've ever heard of)

Gregg Valentino. Pretty sure that was an addiction.

Gregg Valentino. Pretty sure that was an addiction. Gregg Valentino injected synthol (not a steroid, completely legal, sold as pump and pose for body builders) directly into his biceps which causes the muscle to irritate directly under the skin so was it steroids he was addicted to or simply the fact that he was obsessed with looking like a freak? I think you would be hard pressed to pin a true addiction to a steroid user

We have strayed a little off topic, my point was that too many people are very quick to point the finger at other people especially when that person reaches greatness, I know of several pullers on all levels who are not under the constant accusation and judgment that some of the best in our sport are.

Google this Are steroids addictive? And you will get this "No, they're not physically addictive. They may become habit forming or mentally addictive though." Anything can become mentally addictive even sex if you are that weak minded so why try to pin addiction on steroids like it is the equivilant to meth? I will agree with this steroids can be as addictive as sex do any of you condem sex?

Thank you all for making this the most read thread this week =D
Of course the point was - no matter what or how anyone is doing something to achieve their results, don't let it distract you from accomplishing what it is YOU are trying to do. If you agree with their methods let it motivate you - if you disagree with their methods, let it motivate you.
Whether you USE or not, it requires an INSANE level of dedication and focus to reach the upper levels - too much focus on something that IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE, only takes away from what many of us struggle with on a daily basis, staying consistent with our training.
And btw to my knowledge this picture is 100% legit, taken by the PAL and uploaded to their website the day it was taken. The angle it was taken at may have contributed to the appearance of added size, but the man is huge - so not hard to see it being a real pic.

I been using gear for over 4 years now and if used responsibly its no different than any supplement you buy at a vitamin store. The only reason it is illegal in the United States is for the same reason all drugs are illegal and thats because of the government. I have watched alot of youtube videos on how to train for armwrestling and you all need gear to do these exercises. Geez this is some of the hardest workouts i ever had.
