This tournament will be run on a USAA armwrestling table. Chalk and risers will be provided. This tournament is double elimination and is free to watch!
Rules: All elbow fouls will be called, a false start is a warning and 2 warnings equals a foul. 2 fouls is a loss. If competitors can't get a grip in 1 minute they will be set in a ref's grip. Any movement in a ref's grip is a foul. Hand off the hand peg is a warning, if a competitor takes their hand off the peg and gains position (by pushing on the table leg ect.) it will be a foul. Shoulders will be squared before the go. Competitors can't touch their arm with their shoulder or any other part of their body. Your shoulders cannot go past the center of the table.
Slipping with your hands opened, twisting your hand away to slip, or pulling your fingers out of your opponents hand is an intentional slip and will be a foul. A foul or an intentional slip in a losing position is a loss. A clean slip is a strap no matter where your hands are on the table. Losing position is referee's discrimination but if your arm is close to the pad when you intentionally slip or foul it will be a loss - slipping of fouling at 10-2 o'clock is not a loss.
1 foot must stay on the ground, thumb knuckles must be visible before the go unless both competitors say they don't care about seeing the knuckles, wrists will be straight before the go.
If both competitors arms go straight down in the center of the table and the ref's aren't sure who's side of the table the hands are on when they drop below the pin line, whoever's arm/hand is on top will be declared the winner.
We will go over the rules before the start of the tournament, they're pretty basic rules.
Any questions please post here, send me a pm, email me: joshthejedimaster@yahoo.com or call me: 612-801-5612
Hope everyone can make it!
