I'm not sure if I'm "experienced" but I am a little over a year out from my arm break and pulling again with my left. Humerus I assume? Spiral? Did you require surgery? How long ago did it happen? Do you have a video of the break? We're you in a bad position?

Mine sounds the same but mid humerus. At about 10 weeks I thought I was okay to do some light pulling and popped some stuff I shouldn't have in my dominant left arm. It's been a long road but I'm winning again left handed but my right has far surpassed my left. Take it slow, go to all your physical therapy and don't pull for 6 months. It was 7 before I competed again left handed but could have waited a little longer. Listen to your doctor. You'll probably have elbow pain and issues for a while but it got better for me. Good luck, and let me know if you have any questions.

I broke mine twice in the last 9 months. DO NOT AW TO EARLY. If you heal fast they will clear you at 6 months to pull again. Since I broke my arm twice I had one of the best upper extremity dr's taking care of me 2nd time around. i have always healed "fast" so i didnt think much of my lifestyle and its effects on my healing. My 2nd break was actually from a simple fall at a concert after almost 6 months of healing. At that point, most people go back to what they were doing before. After reviewing most recent xrays, I hadnt healed much at all.. this was mostly due to smoking as well as some complications to the nerve. As you can imagine I quit any unhealthy activity and after 10 weeks I am not in any sort of sling/splint and am even cleared for light weight lifting! My advice, keep away from heavy drinking smoking etc. It will make the process much worse and longer. Take calcium and other suppliments and listen to what the Dr. tells you.

Broke my left humerus. It was a jagged break so it took longer to heal and I have nerve damage in that arm. But I learned that easy does it. Goodluck

Ok, i have established time is the key for pulling with my broken arm (left)... however, what about pulling right only when i can hold the post solid with my left. I appreciate all the input/advice from all of guys... i know it

I was fine pulling right after 10 weeks. I think you would be okay with practicing after your okayed for progressive weight training in physical therapy or at the gym. 10-12 weeks. If your okay to bench press 150 lbs you should be okay to pull with your healthy arm. Just take it slow and don't pull if it hurts and listen to you doc.

Listen to the doc!!!! Don't pull until its fully healed it's been six months now for me and my nerve is 90% healed bones is fully healed as of last months X-ray , eat healthy look into paleo diet stay away from bread and dairy get your protein from grass fed beef fish and eggs and chicken eat lots of veggies and take omega 3 fish oil that helps a lot don't drink or use tobacco huge negative there... I'm back in the gym and lifting at75% per break weights and actually stronger at pull ups and push ups than ever! Diet is everything I thought I had it figured out before and this has been the best thing for me to really focus on my health and body! If u want more info message me and I'll help u out more in detail set goals and focus on the positives! I'm six months post break and leaner lighter and healthier than ever! Last week set the military push up record of 375 pushups, six months after breaking my arm! It can be done but do it right my friend!

375 push ups in what time frame? I have done that before if you add them all up from birth. That's crazy!
