Ok guys. Im slowly gettin the hang of cuttin for a tourn, but on the rehydration part it seems the last 2 times ive had diahhrea. Im thinking its because im drinking my pedialyte to quickly when i start rehydrating. I usually put 5-7 grams of creatine in my pedialyte to help get it inside the muscle quicker, could the creatine be the culprit? I try to space 2 pedialytes over a 90 minute period before a meal but usually ends up being 2 over 45 minute period.
Share some yalls processes for rehydrating after a weight cut for a weigh in.

Take a healthy dose of imodium when you know all the food is out when you cut. Water is rushing in there with no food so it causes squirts. And you dont want squirts while you are pulling!

I drink one phedyalite and as much water as I want. Never had bowel issues. I would say cut back to one bottle then cut out the creatine and see if that helps. Run an experiment in your free time so it won't interfere with an event. Good luck.

Drink V8 it has way more potassium tha pd or gatorade and won't give you the sugar squirts. It's the sugar that does it!make sure you drinkplenty of fluids before you eat so you don't stress your kidneys after weigh in would definitely not do the creatine when dehydrated same thing on your kidneys

I've never tried chocolate milk but marathon athletes/runners and studies indicate it's a superfood for restoring electrolytes.

One of my friends who has tons of experience cutting weight told me not to drink Pedialyte too fast, he said one liter over a few hours. Usually after I cut hard and weigh-in I try to drink a liter that evening/night before bed (weighing in the day before a tourney).

Me I just roll with good ole water. Nothing better for your body than something natural over something man made

Always dilute the pedialite with water. And consuming creatine when your in a dehydrated state is a recipe for kidney failure.

James, you probably need to take your diuretic a day sooner so that it has cleared your system by the day of weigh-in. You also may need to lose a few real pounds so that your cut (and subsequent rehydration) aren't so dramatic.
I've sent you some other tips on FB.

Me I just roll with good ole water. Nothing better for your body than something natural over something man made The problem with this is that most water available is not natural and is very man made. You want to find a water that has NATURAL occurring minerals and salts(electrolytes). Anything that says says that the source is purified water or that it's enhanced is crap
