Any tips on how not to be nervous at a tournament? I always feel great up until they call my name and I go up there. It seems to really mess me up. I know that some of the matches I pull I could win but my nervousness gets the best of me. Just want some feed back thanks!

Channel that energy and use it Holly! I'm quite the opposite myself... I'm In a little nervous up to the time they call my name then I get in the Zone! I channel all my energy & focus on the guy across the table from me! I don't even see the crowd or anyone else at the tournament. Have confidence & trust yer training... win or lose give it 120% and leave it all on the table!! You'll always be a winner that way!!

for all of you who know me and have seen me at tournaments know I talk ALOT well if I am talking and not just sitting there observing then I am nervious. So to you Holly, I would say just get with someone you can just sit and talk to while waiting to pull. I am normally running brackets or reffing while I am waiting to pull so I don't have time to think about it.

I haven't pulled in to many tournaments but I always get the jitters. I am use to it as I use to race atv's during monster truck shows in front of thousands of people, I used to think of it as being nervous but soon realized it was adrenaline starting to pump through me. Like the other person said try and harness it, and soon you will learn to enjoy that feeling and not let it overwhelm you, and you will start to strive to feel it as it begins to become harder and harder to feel that way. Personally I love the feeling I get from it now, but if it gets to much to bear just like someone said a nice shot of patron chilled with salt and lime helps take the edge off.
