I'll be out of competing for the foreseeable future. Chop already mentioned I had to cancel our match due to some medical issues. I hate doing that, but I'm in no shape to compete right now.
I'm having nerve problems in both of my hands where my fingers are tingling all the time and sometimes going completely numb. Preliminary tests are saying severe carpal tunnel, but I haven't had my followup appointments and testing yet. Doc's are being super slow.
Seems like it came on really fast to be carpal tunnel, as the problem has only been there for about 2 months and got much worse the last few weeks.
So, until I get this fixed, I won't be pulling.

I was having same problem and it was in my neck and back not carpel tunnel. Went to therapy with chiropractor and massage and it hasnt bothered me. I discovered if i wore a certain jacket that had a tight collar it would bother me really bad. Sitting at a computer where I was looking down made it get worse so I put my computer on a stand on my desk at work.

it was really bothering me while remodeling my house so I thought it was from all the painting and back and forth motion but it was the standing on ladder and looking up all day everyday painting and drywalling. Good luck

I may have carpal tunnel too, but the fast onset of this makes me thing its something else. I had an EMG test last week, and they told me at the end of the test that it shows severe carpal tunnel, but I have to wait for the report to get back to my primary Doc. Its at the point where its hard to type and I keep dropping stuff because I can't tell how hard I am gripping. Haven't done any kind of workout in almost a month and it keeps getting worse.

Bummer. If it is carpal tunnel it has been known to happen gradually, but in both hands the same way starting at roughly the same time is weird. It may be that old truck you bought finally catching up with you... I second Christina's sentiments, I would think being affected bilaterally would mean neck discs.

It actually started before the truck, but turning wrenches all the time certainly isn't helping me at all. Not that I'm gonna stop, its something I enjoy more than armwrestling anyways. And its almost ready to roll. I went for a neck MRI last week but they couldn't fit me in the machine.... ;D ;D ;D

I'm not as big as you Shawn, but big nonetheless. I have a real problem with confined spaces and as the Valium was wearing off my last time in an MRI I got stuck inside. I lost my damn mind that day!!

I've had it too and was planning to have surgery. I have been seeing a physical therapist for my back And I told him about my carpal tunnel. He began to explain why I may not need surgery, Yet so many people have surgery when it could be avoided. Food for thought. Good luck

Good Luck Big Man, had the same thing in my right arm, came from my elbow area, needed to have my Ulner Nerve transplanted under my bicep. Still get tingling from time to time.

Could be cubital tunnel Shawn. I think cubital tunnel put Bill Brzenk out of commission, too, if my memory serves me.
