R & L OPEN WEIGHT $1000 CASH CLASS
details:
Only a $25 entry fee each arm. Badass 1st place award
payout each arm: 1st -$225, 125, 75, 50, 5th-$25 (will have pull offs for 5th and 3rd if necessary) ALSO, the guys in the money rounds will be offered the chance to bet their winnings on each match if they would like to.
- We will run a single DBL elimination bracket, 2 tables - rapid fire action!
- Your weight is not really important, except that the pullers will be bracketed by weight and pull whoever is closest to your weight (heaviest to lightest) each round from start to finish.
The standard aw rules will apply to get a match started and call a winner, with a few enhancements:
- Refs will set the grip (NAL style) (warnings for movement, then fouls if someone is getting stupid with it)
- ALL matches will start in the straps (no slipping or finger pulling)!!!
NOTE: this will save time and be more crowd friendly. There should be a good crowd of non-aw spectators that are coming to see a show and have a good time, the last thing we want to do is confuse them or bore them to death....
- Smaller man at the table has the option to have the match START in a hook. It doesn't have to stay there though. So, the BIG boys better have their "hook game" tite son!
This is gonna be a beast of a bracket to pull in. No need to steer clear if you are sub 200. All you have to do is get to 5th to get in the money. If you are light, with a nasty hook, you will do damage! If you go 2 and out, then you still got beat by guys your size (same as you would have in a weight class). If you make it deep into the bracket then get knocked off, you have put on a show and got in a belly full of pulling! Which is better than any trophy you could win in a weight class....
We plan on running this class FIRST and run it down to the top 4 (R&L). Then, we will give them a rest and time to work some strategy while we run the trophy classes all the way thru completion. After the trophy classes are over we'll run the finals of the money class (should be a full house by then) and find out who the real top dog is in da house that night! After the tourney is over (around 9pm), we'll pull the tables off to the side and there will be a live band taking the stage at 10 and then, well.... it's ON!!!
