there is no testing as it would be a total waste of money and time because no one is ON...and everyone knows that....

You dont have to test every athlete and it does NOT cost $300 a test. Check ur math bob. Everyone is willing to throw the negativity of dope testing but no one is willing to take action. My math is correct. Or I guess I should say it was prior to 2010. Prior to Simon doing his research in 2010 a WADA test was about $300.00. When you multiply that by the 8 winners that $2400.00 I guess now you can get testing done for $100.00 for each test. So once again, send me a check for $800.00 and I will test all the first place finishers.

My suggestion would be for a round robin with a high $ buy in. Take $80 out. Then whoever wins gets to take the easiest test in the world. Upon results of a negative results. Send em the money.

I didn't read the entire thread, so if this has been brought up before I apologize, but let me pose another question.
Why do many armwrestling fans, knowing that certain pullers are absolutely using performance enhancing drugs, still glorify these athletes? We pat them on the back, talk about how awesome they are, and make them our favorite pullers.
I ask this because in other sports, once you have been found to use PEDs, you essentially get blackballed by not only the sports federation, but also by the fans. This is true in professional sports ranging from baseball to MMA. Once an athlete has been found to have been taking PEDs, the fans turn them into a pariah, their accomplishments are disregarded, and they are pretty much done for in the sport. Yet, in armwrestling, the steroid users are the most celebrated athletes.
Why is this? This is not to point fingers at any pullers in particular, but I think it is pretty obvious to most of us who is on, and who isn't. Please treat this as a discussion point only. No name calling, no immature arguing. Let's just discuss.

This isnt a pro sport yet, nobody is on a contract or payroll for a league that does not allow them.

This isnt a pro sport yet, nobody is on a contract or payroll for a league that does not allow them. That really doesn't matter in my opinion and does not answer my question in regards to the fans.

To answer you question Bryan. It is illegal or against the stated rules that PED's aren't allowed in those sports. So they do random drug testing to TRY and keep there a level playing field. Anyone caught is a cheater. they were caught breaking he rules. In our sport I have never seen in any rule book ( other than WAF) that any PED's aren't allowed. So at this point in time it is a choice whether to use them or not. Anyone that is using PEd's isn't breaking any Rules. Mearly trying to stay competitive with ANYONE else at the top.

Chuck, I don't know what's in the rule books of the armwrestling governing bodies, but you're missing the point that they are still in fact breaking the LAW and at the same time are creating an uneven playing field, which is the reason fans of the aforementioned sports cast the guilty athletes out.
Thank you for your thoughts though.
