So being new to the sport I watch a ton of video and have come across these two guys Jason Vale and Giorgi Gelashvili. I think I've heard the names thrown around before but they're some of the best sub 200lbs pullers i've seen. Who was better? Do they still pull?

Jason Vale is probably the best strap puller who ever lived. He's an awesomely technical armwrestler and his wizardry in the strap is legendary. He still shows up from time to time.
Who are the best sub-200lb armwrestlers of all time? That's a long list actually. While the big guys are dominant because of their size and power, the lighter guys on average are much better armwrestlers in my opinion.
I believe the best lightweight armwrestler ever is Engin Terzi of Turkey.

Maybe now. Not in Engin's prime. Engin would have flashed him. Repeatedly.

Giorgi is probably top 6 in the country right now any weight class..This guy is dangerous left and right.. Bold statement, but after thinking about it ... Probably true. We really don't have a top 10... There are top 3 then the rest gets kinda muddy... And he can certainly slide in there and be a big problem in those muddy waters at any class. Never pulled with Jason... Heard a bunch about him. I know him and sinks had a match a few years back... Epic... Bill needs more credit for his strap game too... He truly becomes a different puller too. Vale is in the books as best strap puller ever... Right next to him should be a spot for sinks. Anyhow, haven't seen Giorgio in a while... Or that whole team for that matter... Great guys, hope they can venture out soon enough

Bill Sinks is also an incredible strap puller. Maybe second to Jason. Bill is my favorite puller of all time. You have to damn near kill him to beat him. In the strap it's just that much harder because you can't escape.
I gave the nod to Jason because he's very technical in the strap- as in it makes a mind blowing difference in vs out. Whereas Bill doesn't change up a whole lot. He's already a bulldog and the strap just chains you up to him.

Maybe now. Not in Engin's prime. Engin would have flashed him. Repeatedly. Very rarely is it wise to disagree with John Wilson, but I'm going to have to on this one. Both men in their best form ever, George wins. I don't think anyone 176 and under can flash George with POWER. I think if you flash him it will have to be with SPEED. Tullier did it but in my mind it doesn't count. George should have been, but was not, aware of the new set grip rules. And besides, that was YEARS ago. I don't know what kind of shape George is in right now, but I do know he got a LOT better since that GNC tournament 10 years ago! Besides, George is in Engin's head. Gotta go with George on this one!

Jason Vale had the most natural side pressure of anyone I ever saw with the possible exception of a puller from long ago named Danny Stone.

I believe the best lightweight armwrestler ever is Engin Terzi of Turkey. I agree with the comment entering an argument with John Wilson is a BAD idea - I have to say my (very partial) opinion is that Dave Patton, in his prime (not the one who pulled Engin at the Harley) beats both George and Engin. I think Engin would be harder for Dave to beat but Dave would be win 8 out of 10 times.

Maybe now. Not in Engin's prime. Engin would have flashed him. Repeatedly. George crushes Engin. Easily. Stop trying to start arguments Wilson, you're always doing that

George dreams of being Engin

Patton in his prime vs Engin in his prime is damn close. I'm not sure Dave could post out of Engins hand. I believe Engin would suck him in and prevent Dave from generating that famous back pressure. But that's a guess.
George is great but in my opinion a totally different beast. I think his style would give Dave more trouble than it would Engin. But if he got into position, which would mean beating Engins pronation on the GO, it would be hard for Engin to make a lot of side pressure due to height.
But I don't see George beating Engins hand on the GO. I just don't.
