Were bring up several from TN for the experience and would like to stay where the majority of the pullers are staying. The Courtyard can be booked directly for $96.00 if you ask, vs $99.00 and in my experience (I travel all the time for work) it is better of the two but no complaints from either.
So where you staying?

We have a pretty cool a$$ group staying at the Hyatt regency by the navy pier.
It looks like a real nice hotel with a ton to do onsite... Renowned restaurants, bars, clubs.. Etc.
Plus it's in the thick of where it's at in Chicago.
I have never been and the people I'm going with have never been, but for an extra $20 a night (AAA discount)
It's a no brainier for me considering I'll be there 3 nights.

I've actually stayed there on vacation. Put in $70.00 for a four star hotel on Priceline in downtown Chicago and got that place first try. Well worth it! |

If you are mainly interested in the cheapest price with still being very close to the venue,
The super 8 hammond was 65 a night plus tax and is only 3-4 miles from the venue.
A train runs from Hammond to Chicago for about 5 bucks each way if you want to experience the city one of the days but don't want to spend the extra for the rooms and/or deal with driving in the city.

Robert told me that they will have a 15 passenger van running non stop Friday and Sat from the hotel to the casino and back.
