I think they should make pro-armwrestling part of the summer Olympics. Look at some of the other sports they have-I think we should look into this.

Pam, this had been a subject for years. It will never happen. Sucks but that is reality.

Do you guys think with Armwrestling blow up mainstream (UAL,Game of Arms, WAL, PAL) it could someday make the Olympic Games? What is the International Olympic Commitee looking for when it considers a new sport to add to the Olympic Games? Where exactly does Armwrestling have to go in order to get there?

First thing that comes to mind is the issue of steroids... A large number of armwrestling's top pros cheat and use steroids. Mandated drug testing will make things difficult for the cheaters.
I recall hearing during one of the last armwrestling in the Olympics discussions that it's hella expensive to bid for the Olympics.
Definitely hoping that Game of Arms and the UAL take this sport to bigger and better places!!!

If we get into the Olympics has nothing to do with drugs or testing. It has nothing to do with number of weight classes. It has nothing to do with how much TV we get or don't get. It has nothing to do anything other than getting in thru an existing sport. The IOC has been very clear that they are not adding new sports and even took away the most basic of all sports ......Wrestling for a while. Each sport gets to decide what variations they can allow and that is how the trampoline got in, thru gymnastics. So if we ever get in it will be by piggybacking in thru an existing Olympic sport.
