I saw the potential competitors list and there are 21 spots there. There are 2 open spots for USA. Is there an updated list for this event? Is John going to be competing there? What about Michael Todd?

Neither John nor Michael will be there. We have several other pullers in mind. Should have them selected soon.

It was originally said that there would be 20 on the list, 4 reserves.
Let's see if the US can produce Bagent, if he wants to fulfil his "life's goal" of convincing the world that he's the US' best, as per latest Game of Arms preview.
Harold Owens, Doug Allen, Sylvain Perron are likely reserves, That's a serious field of competitors they have listed. Yoshi Kanai or Wagner Bortolato occupy the 4th reserve slot, in terms of ranking. So...
Odd number masters (Based on highest rated, I assume):
- Devon Larratt - Dave Chaffee - Denis Cyplenkov - Andrey Pushkar - Ferit Osmanli - Ivan Matyushenko - Travis Bagent - Tim Bresnan
Even number (con)tenders:
- Modestas Grigaitis - Alexey Semerenko - Krasimir Kostadinov - Sergey Tokarev - Alexey Voevoda - Ievgenii Prudnyk - Khadzimurat Zoloev - Wagner Bortolato
It's reasonable to expect 1 or 2 from the contender list to beat their rivals, elsewise we see the top 8 fight it out in the quarter-finals. Because of the spread it's hard to imagine 3 from USA in the masters' slots. Most would probably think that we are likely to see the Devon, Denis, Dave and Dushkar (couldn't resist- my OCD) in the semis, unless they met in the previous.
Don't know what they meant by "masters" and "pretenders", and Alexey Voevoda made it sound as though he would not compete. Voevoda recently said he saw himself place in at least the top 6 if I remember correctly. But congrats on Olympic gold!

Does anyone know when and where this is supposed to happen? Apparently Las Vegas. Runs from May to December, but there are supposedly 2 T16 tournaments this year. With 4 rounds each that means they could fit in a round every month (start and end). TIM b AGAIN LOS BATHA WERE DID YOU GET SUCH INSIDE INFO,WE ARE INVOLVED AND DONT HAVE SUCH INSITE!!!!! I dunno Tim, the real question is, can you improve your toproll to defeat Denis in round 2 and change your destiny?
