Im really happy to see some of these comments. I honestly do hope this show or UAL or whatever you happen to be in gives everyone some way to show what you do and are made of. I am far from the best puller, got lucky they chose our team, mostly due to Dave I would think. Many people would have been picked before many of us, if it was only based on skill. but you are right the story is what makes it. chop and his team are great in person., Craig Tullier I assumed was kinda mean only seeing him pull, but he is super kind off the table!
ref's suck yep. I dont think anyone knew ahead of time how much it would matter. they called us shortly before filming started and said every city would provide a ref. Well like most cities, we are the local ref's lol....so we had a guy ref who is a puller, but not much ref experience. then you have some top guys pulling for TV, man nobody wants to lose or get taken advantage of in the set up. again I dont think they knew ahead of time it would be that bad. they were very new in our terms.
it was cool, by the end of the few months they all knew "the lingo" and were rooting the guys on and understood what was happening. outside of the bad reffing there is some good actual pulling yet to come! Im a fan so at the finals I was trying to see all the cool matches going on! I liked the fact smaller guys pulled bigger guys, guys like Craig and Bill can do damage on anyone!
john yes I get butt hurt easy, not by just general public type but by people I know or my friends. I wish I didnt but I am who I am I guess, and I know I want the best for you and the others here. I joined in 2004 and have checked this page most every day since. I really do want to see us all get some small reward, via money or attention or whatever, you all are warriors and deserve it

Posted a positive review yesterday. There's only a couple really bad ones, but we have to get the stars up. Last I looked it was in the 4s.
Maybe the GOA Facebook page should say something similar. It's not even listed on RottenTomatoes.

Overall, I like the show. But I have never been a fan of trash talking. Just don't understand it. When someone is strong and accomplished, why do they feel the need to talk crap? So that's a turnoff for me. And for quite a few people that I have heard talk about it. I'd be the most boring guy on TV. Because I'm the one that is quiet - win or lose - and congratulates the other guy if they won or thanked the other guy for the match if I won.

I wouldn't really be too worried about the low rating on IMDB, as it is not indicative of the success of the show.
Look up "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and you will see that show is rated 2.9 out of 10, yet it continues to draw in mass amounts of viewers and gets renewed for additional seasons. The people who rate these shows on IMDB are mostly self righteous film/tv snobs that are just looking for a chance to put something down.
The people who like the show and continue watching do not bother to register on IMDB in order to post their feedback, they just tune in on Tuesdays @ 10PM and enjoy the show. Those are the folks that have a real impact, as their loyalty will cause the show to get renewed.

If a show gets an equal number of 10/10s and 0/10s the final rating will be 5/10.
If a show gets all 5/10s the final rating will be 5/10.
This goes with what Bryan is saying, which show will the industry execs like better?
I think they'll like the one that generate strong opposite opinions, because controversy is preferable to a universal lukewarm appeal.

I doubt film execs care much about user reviews. They are interested in the bottomline; total viewers. If a show brings 8 million viewers a week to the tv stand, it hardly matters what the masses think of it.

Viewer ratings are important to other viewers. That's a big reason they watch a show, which in return raises the total audience = renew goa for season 2. So please rate goa on this site. Tell everyone you know to watch the show...
