Hey there, I'm very very new to arm wrestling (in all honesty game of arms has sparked a fire in me) I'm in antelope CA and would love to watch a tourney or practice or even par take in one. Just looking for advice on what I should focus on as I begin to train? If there's anyone in the area near me that could practice/train with? And should I just enter an amateur tournament even though I'm brand new or wait to train a bit?
Thanks in advance for the advice!!

Read Strong arm Tactics, you can get it on Amazon books strait to your phone, that's a good start.

Also if you go into the "training forum and doctors corner" go into the "places to train" thread, there are always guys putting info on there to seek training or who are offering practices, ask if there is anyone close to your area that holds a practice.

Find a good team to train with right away--it's better to start learning the right way then to develop bad habits and try to fix them down the road

Will Sarty: I think that everyone in the sport should carefully read your whole book.
Any updates for the Recovery section? Do you still use a roller or a ball?
I'm still deep-massaging over my tendons at the elbow and stretching my forearm muscles after practice and workouts. It has kept me injury-free and minimized pain.
It's never too late to start a recovery routine and it's essential for life-long pulling.
