If any of you got to see the 1979 World sitdown championships on Arm TV My good friend Steve Austin won his class. He lives in the same small town as I do. It was swet to watch. Does anyone remember Steve Austin? Great footage. Also, there was a young Guy Lasorssa, and Karen Curavoo. Karen had a different last name though. Great stuff!!

I sure remember Steve, what a great armwrestler he was. One of the only guy's I seen beat Al Turner sitting down. In fact in Brockton MA 1979.
His proto type height leverage like Bath, Bowling, Turner, Mike Todd (if he wanted) James Horn etc.. are the reasons I always felt better at 200 because of there natural leverage and size.
Tell the 6 million dollar man hello. How old is Steve now?

Pretty good Willie - "a young Guy Lasorsa" And a real young Karen Brisson!
Willie you need to get Steve to show up at Nationals next year. There's still some of us dinosaurs still around that will remember him.

Karen,
Thanks for the mention. By the way, I was only 14 at that event. In fact, I was hanging around the table helping set up the tables with my brother Brennan. So I had a front row seat of all the action. It was a very inspiring event because I got a chance to meet so many legends of the sport. Tony Senger, Al Turner, Dave Patton and Steve Austin where my favourates.
Glad you liked the event, Perhaps I can get more to ArmTV in the future.
Cheers
Aaron

At least you can remember 17 And you know, you really haven't changed that much! Funny how we forget some of the rules being different until something rattles our memory. We've come a long way baby ;D Now don't go flattering Guy. His blood pressure can't take it. You know how those old geezers are ;D ;D

I am so glad that you ll remember Steve. He can not pull any more, as he had to have surgery on his right arm to repair nerve damage. He will be happy to know that you all said hello.
