First off my name is Rob, I live in Homer Glen, Illinois about 45 minutess southwest of Chicago. I am looking to join the competitive scene for arm wrestling, but have only done it recreationally. I would be looking to do left arm in the <165 Lb weight class. I currently weight about 170 so would have to lose a few lbs. I applied to on the UAL to be an exclusive member. They sent me a contract, but before filling it out n sending it back, does anybody know the next few steps in the process. What does signing the contract help me with in getting involved. Does it actually entail any benefits, or are you still pretty much on your own in getting involved in the amateur scene.
Any information from previous people who have signed a contract with the UAL or any information on where I can train with others near the chicagoland area would be greatly appreciated.
Rob

Find a local team to practice and train with. Hit up some local tourneys. Don't sign any contracts until you've done so.
