Agreed. The only way to work absolutely everything that you use to arm wrestle is to arm wrestle.

Table time hands down is the best!! I am fairly new to armwrestling but have been a competitive powerlifter for years and I have been training for armwrestling in the gym for a while now also.. Nothing compares to table time/practice!! You learn strengths and weaknesses and ways to work those to your advantage!! You also work muscles and tendons on the table that you just can't get the same feeling from with weights or pulleys!! Being on the table you learn things that can help you in the gym to better yourself as a better armwrestler based on your strengths !! So no doubt after my 1st true practice My arm,s were trashed and I have never got that from a gym or training session!

Calf raises people always underestimate the importance of a solid base. I disagree. The most important training in my opinion is hand strength as it relates to typing. Your space bar game needs to be on point, experiment with a little butt hurt when you type, get in touch with your volume control and TYPE IN ALL CAPS FOR A LITTLE BIT, and quote a lot of bro science about crazy @ss training methods. Only then will your hands be strong enough to search out a real match. When you lose that match, be quick to point out why you lost, but don't accept any personal responsibility for it. It should sound something like this: I am waaaay stronger than that, but I (pick one: missed the go, put on cucumber melon hand lotion and lost my grip, broke a fingernail, couldn't see my thumb knuckle, bailed to go to the strap too late, am used to softer elbow pads, didn't want to get sweaty, felt bad for the other guy) so I lost. I did beat him 3 times while after pulling though, so I am clearly stronger and more technical. I also out ate him at the buffet, he isn't as bad as everyone says.

I noticed my finger tip pressure went through the roof after adding battle ship to my routine regiment Josh.

Jerry,
You should work and condition your whole upper body. Don't forget lats, abs and low back. I know guys who do forearms almost every day and they are hard to get around start there and move down.

Jerry, I do NOT post on here anymore about which exercises r best OR what muscles u USE in AWing, cause it ends up being a big "fight" with people who do NOT have the knowledge n these areas. which isn't their fault, it's just what's been handed down to them by those who SUPPOSEDLY knew... You do NOT, I repeat do NOT "use" ( contract, flex) ur LATS in AWing. U EXTEND ur LATS...2 different things... If u would like to know what muscles r "used" in AWing, I only respond to PMs,......good luck

So Christian how do we work on our extending power for lats? Not being a smart ass but my lats are sore after doing A hook drag at practice. Would the lats be used as a locking muscle?
