Very sad news. Greg was a five-time WAF World Champion (in 1981, 1997, 1998, and in 1999 with both arms).

Gregory E. Bednarz, of Whitman, passed away suddenly on June 20. He was the son of the late Edward and Irene Bednarz of Springfield. He leaves his sisters Christine, Debbie, and brother Paul of Springfield, and the longtime companion Terri Pagnini of Whitman. Gregory was best known for winning Gold medals in several World Arm Wrestling competitions. Gregory was the only arm wrestler to win a gold medal with both left and right arms in Tokyo. He began his arm wrestling career as a young boy and trained with The Godfather of Arm Wrestling, Al Turner of Brockton. A memorial service will be planned by the family at a later date in July in Springfield. For more information and online condolences, please visit www.lydonchapelforfunerals.com.
