The reason Justin Bishop was taken off is he hasn't pulled a 176 or under class in over 1 year. Just wanted to say that now before a thousand people ask. Also the top by state rankings updates didn't seem to work, maybe I sent the wrong page, there are a few inaccuracies in there that I am aware of. That'll be fixed. Let the bitching commence.

Have you guys entertained the thought of adding a 165 & 185 class? Seems like it's justified.

Would the suggestion be to rank these classes (165, 185, 220) in addition to the currently ranked classes, or to replace them? I think the ranked classes (154, 176, 198, 242, Unlimited) are probably still the classes most commonly offered in the US. Adding classes would create additional work as well as more headaches due to many pullers adjusting their weight depending on what class is offered at a particular event. So far, pullers have only been ranked in one class, and ranking more classes will lead to more confusion, arguments, etc. If the ranked classes were to change, a case could be made to include the 165 class. It's offered at WAL events, UAL events, Nationals, Worlds, etc. But why 185 (UAL) as opposed to 195 (WAL). Nationals and Worlds have 187 and 198. 220 is offered at Nationals and Worlds, but the UAL uses 235 and the WAL uses 225.
I vote status quo until a different set of classes becomes more popular than 154, 176, 198, 242, 243+.

It's pheasible to rank those extra classes. At the minimum 165 and 185. There are guys who could and should be ranked but won't because they are lumped into a heavier class. Brandon Dye and Corey Miller are 165lbs. Brandon and corey can and have been dominant in a 176 pound class but are still legitametly 165. You got guys like AD, Storm, Bongard, Selerias, and Craig in a 205 class when all could and would be ranked in a 187-185 range. Many arguments can be made. This would not only bring more names into the rankings it would reflect more pure rankings as opposed to blended classes. Not discrediting rankings just an honest observation.

I agree with Eric that a strong case could be made to rank 165's as its offered at wal and ual both, the problem with ranking both 185 in addition to 176 and 198 (or 195) is it thins out the classes a lot, in some instances it's actually easier to be ranked in a heavier class which doesn't seem right. I have considered switching rankings to the ual weight classes but idk - Canada doesn't use those classes often and it needs to stay in line for the North American rankings. I agree that it'd be nice if the whole North America could agree on one set of weight classes but it prolly won't ever happen. Also yeah think last big tourney Powers pulled was 2013 Worlds and idk if he's pulled 76 since. Think rh he has at Colorado tourneys but pulled up lefty for more of a challenge. He needs to pull something within the next couple months for sure... Ill move Doug back to Ohio, is he staying there? If so Ill move him into the Midwest rankings as well. Eric and Josh, Not that i care much and really i don't... I beat razor at USAF nationals just recently. Not sure if that matters to ranking system. Hey Ryan, I had you above Razor lefty but moved him up since he beat Selearis at WAL Chicago - and Razor was ranked above you both - I also had Razor above you right handed but moved you up for beating Herman Stevens.
