Well I don't know this nitro guy but with a name like that he must be compensating for something. If he freely runs his sausage wallet like that he's bound to get a five knuckle introduction. It makes sense only 20 folks show up to his events since he likes playing Keno on which athlete will beat his @$$.

I kind of feel like a schmuck promoting, but that will not happen at my tournament. People are too important of an asset to treat like garbage.

Nitro has always been an ass. Most of the time he's drunk while reffing, and he's always drunk if he's on the mic. I've been to several tournaments where he was involved (before I knew better). Never again!

Hey Tim and Max
What happened to your boys was not right. I'm sure with all this going on, Nitro probably has no clue that this talk is even on the board. I will tell him. I was not at this tournament, so this is the first I am hearing about it today, as I got a few texts telling me to check the board about the tournament.
Also, I am going to have my annual event November 22nd, and will be posting info shortly. The father and son whom you speak of are welcome to come and pull my tournament for free, any amount of classes they wish. Hopefully this will repair some damage and leave some sort of positive regard for pulling in Northeast PA. Hey, after what they experienced maybe they don't want to come to this area and pull again but this tournament is 100 percent run my me and not Tom !!!

Tim and Max
I spoke to Tom on the phone, He said that he is sincerely sorry for his actions. He stated that he was playing around with your friend and trying to razz him up to get him to pull. He states he meant no disrespect but was playing around. Again, tell them he sincerely apologizes. If he ever comes to another tournament he hosts he will give him a free entry and apologise in person. He reports that he didn't even realize they were made at him until afterward. Like I said, I was not there, just relaying his message. He would like one of you to please relay this message for him
Shawn There is enough hate already directed at Nitro without the ridiculous spreading of lies. Hell you already have Tim and everybody else thinking he is a drunk when in fact he has never drank at any single tournament. How do I know this because I have been at every tournament you have gone to that he threw plus 40-50 more of his. You have never seen him drunk !!! What you might have seen was his diabetes getting the best of him. He has probably the worst case of Type 1 Diabetes (britlle) that is humanly possible. He also has hypoglycemic unawareness. So those of us that know him usually take him outside to check his blood sugar levels and a shot or two of insulin. We do this for him when we see his personality change. This personality change might be what you saw. If anything its all that you saw !!!! If you think he's an ass, I get it, some people do!! Sugar levels were at 528 the day of this tournament. This is not the business of every member of this board, but he had me share it because it's better than everyone thinking he's a drunk!!

I can't condone what was said on the mike and it was done in poor taste in the very least. I can contest to the diabetes issues. He has had problems at some of our large events when he forgets to check his levels and his speech is effected, along with his behavior. Again not making excuses just giving my observations from our events that he has attended. LH

Just to clarify, insulin is given to drop blood sugar. It is definitely not given when someone has issues with hypoglycemia. And there is no "severe" type one diabetes cases in comparison to another type one diabetic. I've had type one diabetes for years and when someone has slurred speech or is dizzy or unaware, it is from a low blood sugar, not a high one. Symptoms similar to that of a drunk person can be expected when blood glucose levels are low. To hear that this guy has been at the point where other people are giving him insulin is sad. He should really be taking better care of himself. Sorry, but I've armwrestled at a bunch of tourneys, had a few beers and never acted like an ass. Checking blood glucose levels often (4-8 times a day) and visiting a doctor regularly would prevent all of this. Diabetes is NOT an excuse. Why is there Olympians, people who have reached the summit of Everest, NFL players, musicians, and armwrestlers living with type one diabetes that don't act like drunken idiots? They take care of themselves.
