I was using the term "severe" as difficult to control despite taking sugar levels multiple times a day, and taking insulin or the opposite to adjust levels and brittle referring to labile diabetes going both high and low in often extreme level swings. Only 3 out of 1000 have this subtype of type 1. I would never say its more "severe" that what anyone else has but it also can not be controlled 100 percent even if he does everything he is supposed to do. Of course he only takes insulin to lower the sugar. I am simply posting on his behalf because he was unaware of a lot of this. People seemed to be thinking he was intoxicated at tourneys and a response was warranted, per his wishes. He gave his apology and its up to the people he offended to hopefully accept it.

Tim B again I to am diabetic, and its hard to diebetic. And be hypoglysemic. 1 is high blood sugar other is low sugar ! Nitro was told within a few min that they had problem,so him not knowing is bull sh1t!!!! If he were sincere it would one thing, but makeing up excuses is worse than not saying anything!

Tim
Tom sincerely apologises for offending your friends. That part is 100 percent real. You've known me a long time, I wouldn't lie to you. Also the last thing I now want is to be in the middle of this !! Trust me, I've known him a long time as well. I know him well enough to know when he is being sincere. What I heard was 100 percent sincere, its hard to relay that sincere apology through typing!! He did know they had a problem, he didn't realize it escalated to this, from his mouth.
The only reason the diabetes was brought up was because of a different reason. Tom didn't want anyone thinking he was a drunk, so it was brought up if people saw him acting like a fool at other events!! That was not intended to be brought up as an excuse for his actions that day. If anybody took it that way I apologise !!!
I probably didn't help any because I was typing for someone else. Anyway, I'm not a doctor but because of Tom I do know what type 1 brittle is. When someone has brittle (labile) diabetes they can go both ways with sugar levels often to extremes. That's his condition. If anybody is interested he's a walking encylopedia of diabetic knowledge. Ask him

Tim Bagain Chris you shouldn't be in the middle, all diebetics go high and go low that's just the way it goes. You are right we were there, I'm going by three peoples words and after this thread seems like quite a few have had problems in the past, evan the ones that call him freind! He doesn't seem to have a problem when his mouth is screwing with other people (like atleast six or sevan people have had same experance at his shows)only when it is brought out in the open.I leave it at that and just say we as a team will not go to anyother shows that he's involved in,the X PA DERECTOR.

Promoters should NEVER insult their competitors, It's like yelling at a volunteer! They are coming (and in this case a long way) to support your event and you heckle them??!!?? That is poor taste and really a slap in the face to the people who love and support this sport!!

There's disrespect everywhere. When someone pulls out right in front of you driving or when your team mate wont chip in for gas. I could go on all day! How about when you work your ass off for four years to win a national title and Bill won't give you national stars on this board as recognition!!! The good news is that after all the different competition I've been involved with over the years, AW seems to have the least amount of politics running this sport. Three guys and a steel table!!!!! What else do we need? I want all of you to concentrate on the things that really matter like family, friends and kicking ass! As matter of fact I'm going to the Dungeon to kick some ass right now so look out Bresnan cuz my left is on fire!
