each member picks an arm( i.e right 198) and depending on where you place in your class you are givin points. The total of the team is added up and there you have it.
I think

that's about right john...but some tournament directors let you pull more than one class and if you place in more than one you still get points....for instance I pull left supers and right supers and take second in left and third in right i would get 7 point for left and 5 points for right for a total of 12 and if you have other teammates who do the same you can amass alot of points.

Pretty close John. A lot of the time the "Team" really means that they are training together and helping with advice about opponents and what move to use. At the Nationals it is different depending on the association. At the USAA Nationals and the Unified Nationals you official team is made up of the best 10 entries that you can put together. I could be 5 people all going left and right or it could be 10 individuals all going one class. At the AAA Nationals it is more about numbers along with how they place. The AAA Nationals does not place a number on the entries of your team. ;D

You have the right idea John. We usually award points 1st to 4th place finishes. 10-7-4-1- if you have 10 on team and they all take 2nd the team score would be 70. If 1 member takes 2 1st and no one else finishes top 4 then the team score would be 10 points. Hope this helps.

Yep, Then all of the teams are on an equal footing. No winning just because of your size of team. Your team could have more than one entry. Example Louisiana did a Team of Left and a Team of Right and they took first and Second. Pretty impressive. ;D

I can see where this would make things more even.....the teams of lousiana did they have any pullers that were on both teams or is that not legal?

They had 10 men each going left and right. All of the Left entries were on one team and all of the Right entries were on the other team.

Mike and Chris,
Nice concept (same state) and a fair way to determine who has the best team.
With the exception of Louisiana (by the way has an a** kicking team) not all States have enough armwrestler to fill a team roster.
Many teams are gathered with who ever gets to the best pullers first.
I guess we can look at this two different ways,
1) If team Captains did not capture pullers to fill a team they probably won't enter the team compitition (Maybe).
2) If you have a solid team like Louisiana, your team is put to the test and is more rewarding when you win.
Not all captains can get to the best of the best, is it fair as a State team "NOT".
I still like AAA concept if all states have enough puller to fill a team roster.
