this was a curiosity that crossed my mind about earlier when I saw the videos at armbrytning. From just looking at the wrestlers in match it was notable "obvious" several were not anywhere near the size they were in the past when I had competed with them or attended a worlds where they were in other weight classes. You know we are all on best behavior and nobody talks directly about using but I have had people honestly tell me in the past they were whether it was sign language or broken english. Then again I have had some say they just possessed good genetics. Who am I to argue Anyway it was noticable that some monsters of the past were definatley off and I thought it ironic because I had not heard they were testing and no one mentioned much about it. This makes me curious as well. It doesnt really matter to me who is and isnt because we have always competed . In Brazil I ousted the regular way of things with a 1-2 russian finish ending 1-3 but they neither one would take a drug screen. I figured they were just insulted. Igor Albagov and Vatchslav Muriev. Seriously I dont think they need it. Vatcheslav has been doing great. I think as Guy has stated but maybe on a more like Simon. Suplliment companies could be a big backer for armwrestling and what we really aim to stop is more than a suppliment so why not curtail the test to just test for these items. I really dont think this Olympic idea is allowing anything meaning you find an herb or a suppliment that helps in your training and is not an illegal substance and you can bet if you medal in competition the next olympics it will be a banned substance. Beuracracy and the political wheel not to mention the fear of tampering just takes all the fun out of it Keith my wife bought me that shirt that says allergic to stupid and I sneezed my butt off almost the whole day wednesday when I wore it. finally I took some allergy pills so everyone wouldnt think I saw them as morans.

20 percent of the tests came back positive? Have they done the "B" samples yet and or have the athletes made the decision to test their "B" samples? If they have not done the "B" samples or the athlete has not refused to have the "B" sample done......then they really are not positive tests!!!!

this is very interesting, and i wonder who these 6 positive tested athletes are. Leonard,if A samples tested positive then at least half of these B samples will test positive,IMO. but i agree with you,if only A samples have been tested then it is only the first step of two step thing and can not be declared as positive testes untill B samples will also be tested.if they used stuff then they should pay the price, there can be no excuse if they really used illegal stuff before a doping tested event.

When taking suppliments be very carefull. Many companies that make legal suppliments also make illegal substances. Therefore trace amounts of the illegal stuff can end up in something that you think is clean.

i use GNC creatines when i use, they gave me a guarantee paper that their product is safe.also the weight lifters who use the same creatine has been tested at competetion and the result was negative.
the question is that how can athletes be careful if the company does not state the substance at the ingridents list?

Engin, the best way is to contact the manufacturer and state that you are in a sport that does testing to WADA standards, what product you plan on using and if that product is produced in a factory that manufactures banned substances. Banned substances are not necessarily illegal substances. If they are a reputable company they will let you know. Also you may want to discuss this with a person in your country's anti-doping committee. They would know what products you can take and which you can't. Steve here is the 2006 list: www.wada-ama.org/rtecontent/document/2006_LIST.pdf

There is definitely good genetics that makes the ultimate difference, whether they are Straight up or on something. I also don't think you can assume all are on, but you can assume that more than 6 are or were. Take the ones who finished 4th and down, some probably were. Also I really don't think they catch someone every time. Look at the fastest Man and woman Gatlin and Jones after years of testing clean but suspected turned up dirty recently.
But they the WAF and Europeans are definitely sending a message at least for their respective arm wrestling organizations,on the other side the competitors who have turned up dirty if good enough can shrug their shoulders and then pull pro.The pro's seem to be set up for entertainment value like professional Wrestling here in the USA . So I think if someone cleans house in a class outside of these tournaments it should be taken for what its worth to you.

thank you Rick! but i personally can not depend on the answer that i will receive from the supplement companies except if they give me a signed paper that their product is safe for any kind of doping test.when i said illegal meant illegal for armwrestling (poor english).
once again thanks for your reply.
