Gary must be all knowing in armwrestling, I was at the tournament and heard nothing of Matt retiring. Not that I'm someone in the know. I wish him well in all he does, he was great indeed. Would have liked to train and pick his brain a little but I started too late I guess.

Retired!?! You don't schedule a supermatch with John Brzenk and then decide to "retire" right before it....

Dustin, Matt hasn't armwrestled in about 1-1/2 years. I spoke to him when the supermatch was first scheduled he said he didn't know if he would have time to get back in shape to wrestle John. He canceled about a month before the event because he hadn't been able to work out and he has started a new job. Matt is spending more time with his family and hopes to help out with tournaments, but doubts he will return to compete. Matt is a great friend and I wish him all the best.

Well that's very understandable. It's just that scheduling a supermatch with the likes of John Brzenk if your not sure of your self is well....I don't know. It just sounded kind of weird. Oh well. Good enough for me.
