Joe Canazzi posted a tournement on here that was supposed to be yesterday. Pennsylvania sitdown tourney. Hosted by Bob Stanger. Bob is a very good friend of mine, and we try to make it to his tourneys to support him. Well, we drove 3 1/2 hours to this tourney that was never even scheduled! That sucked, and we were all pissed off. when Bob got home, and checked his messages, he returned my call. He said that he had no idea where this kid got the information from. I guess we need to let the promoters popst their own tourneys. I spent my day off doing nothing but driving. I am still pissed off about this.

As weird as this sounds this has happened to us. People call up and ask when is weigh ins? When there is no tournament .

Hey Willie. The Can Am Championship is a definite GO if you feel like taking another drive. ROTN class(161-185) for $500 to 1st. $300 to 2nd and $200 for 3rd.

Someone owes Willie Reagan and company an engraved apology for driving three hours to a tourney that didn't exist! Someone should have contacted me to remove both the tourney listing and calendar listing.

Willie - what a shame you wasted a day and a lot of gasoline.
But, there is a post on the upcoming events forum from Jim Wagner saying the event was cancelled.
Kurt, maybe have us send the info to you instead of posting it and if it's not from the tournament director themself, don't post it. Just an idea.

That could possibly work, but the promoter won't be able to edit my post, only reply to it.

I wasn't really aware of that tournament but I do recall the post being on the main board about the cancelling so it seems that there was an attempt to cancel. It is unfortunate that this happened to you Willie. That hurts.

Willie- Im sorry, Bob contacted me about this, and that day I posted under the listing it was not being held, as well as sent email to Joe to take it down. Why I didnt email Kurt I do not know. That was Bob's biggest worry, that someone would drive there. He asked me to get this off the board, which I did a poor job of. I am sorry all for my part. Why I didnt email Kurt I dont know, too busy, too stupid. sorry.

I looked back at the original post where the upcoming events are. Now I see where there is no tourney. When I originally saw it, I never looked there again. Then Saturday before we left, I looked on the home page of the board where is says tournement for the month, and I clicked, and double checked the address for the location. I know it was a mistake, but it still sucked to drive all day for nothing! Next time, I will make a phone call!
