Can anyone tell me about the Bucky Bucklin Armwrestling Tournament? It's held in mid-October in Twentynine Palms, CA, and it seems to have been going on for years. I'm pretty sure it's amateur competition, but how big/good is it?

I'm guessing that the key to the success of the tournament is the proximity of the world's largest Marine base. But I haven't found much about it by googling, it seems to be a very local event.

Think of driving to San Francisco, then four hours further north.

I always enjoy the Weaverville tournaments, they usually draw a fair number of people, you can kinda judge from my photos. The one last year at this time was the first time that tournament had been held in Weaverville.
