Why is it that threads celebrating new life, or those wishing a happy birthday to someone surviving major heart surgery get moved to off topic forum while threads asking for prayers for deceased get to stay? Doesn't seem fair to me. Its all or nothing.
Happy birthday mike griffin.

That is a real good question. I wish I thought of that.

Oh my god, do we really have to go through this again? I mean, really. Kurt, for those of us who seem to be missing what is and isn't acceptable to you for posting on the Main Forum, could we please go through this again? It seems some days birthday wishes, births, deaths, illnesses, etc are acceptable. But other times they are not. I personally posted the Happy Birthday to Mike Griffin yesterday and it didn't even last 30 minutes on the Main Forum before you moved it to Off Topic. Considering there had been numerous Birthday wishes expressed over the past few weeks on the Main Forum, I thought this was acceptable. Is the Main Forum NOT for all things pertaining to armwrestling and armwrestlers? And if it is NOT, could you please list what topics are and are not acceptable so we all don't continue to make the same mistakes and wonder why our topics have been moved. Plus it will alleviate extra work for you in not having to move topics. I could not find anywhere on the board where it states what exactly the Main Forum is for. I did however find where you posted what the Off Topic Forum is set up to be used for and have pasted it below. About this 'Off-Topic Forum' « Thread Started on Jun 6, 2004, 9:28pm »

There are several lengthy threads about this issue buried on the board, somewhere. Feel free to search for them....they should answer your questions.
I haven't been proactive lately in moving stuff to the off-topic forum....now I am.
People should just use common sense, that is all I expect. Birthdays, births, etc should definitely go on off-topic. Deaths, illnesses, etc are a grey-area that requires more sensitivity, in my opinion.
Good day.
