"my two cents" Im not sure where this came from but my only guess would be the instance where Jesus commented on a lady who gave two peices of currency which is actually worth less than two pennys. Jesus commented that this woman gave more than the rich men because it was all she had to give. "Just my two cents" "thats all i got" Maybe Mark 12:41. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44. For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

I actually I saw this on the discovery channel a few days ago on Myth Busters. The phrase son-of-a-gun came from an event the supposedly took place during a battle. A soldier was kneeling down to fire his musket when a bullet pierced his lower regions and bounced off his leg bone and went into a woman. According to the myth the bullet caused the woman to be pregnant. After they tested the situation numerous times it was found that a bullet can travel as the story has stated but the resulting factor of the woman being pregnant does not prove to be valid.
I thought this was interesting but it is not a fact so i dont know if it is appropriate for this thread.

They set up a dummy with a real human leg bone. Then they used an expert marksman to shoot a musket ball at the leg to see if a bullet could go through it . Once they verified that a musket ball could bounce and go through they then had the marksman shoot a musket ball through a pouch containing "male fluid" and into a woman dummy and see if there was any trace which there wasnt.
I should go back to watching cartoons.

Christ, is not Jesus' last name.
Christ is the greek form of the hebrew word "messiah" which literaly means "the annointed one"
This is a reference to the prophecies fulfilled in the old testament of the bible. To call anyone else Christ or Messiah is inaccurate and blasphemous. Jesus is THE MESSIAH . Jesus is THE ANNOINTED ONE. the word "the" indicates the ONLY one and there can be no other Christ. either Jesus is THE Christ or he is not Christ at all.

To Ryan:
There are 22 species of earwigs, often called "pincher bugs", in the United States of which 12 are introduced species. Only 4 or 5 species are common pests.
The adult earwig is about 5/8 inches in length, and reddish brown in color and they can be found in homes, plants, piles of debris, and under rocks.
They will invade homes and are often carried into the home in newspapers thrown on to lawns.
They are nocturnal and get their name from an old belief that they would enter the ears of sleeping people and bore into the brain. watch out Ryan there coming for you!!!!
They live in moist, shady areas such as under stones, logs or in mulch.
Adults can float in water for 24 hours.
