heres a nice salad for this heat and would be great with dinner its called TOMATO AND ASPARAGUS SALAD WITH FRESH MOZARELLA
2lb of asparagus vinegarette dressing of your choice 6 tomatoes 1 head of leaf lettuce 12oz fresh mozarella fresh basil leaves 2 or 3
step1-trim asparagus to remove the hard stem place into lightly salted boiling water until asparagus becomes slightly softer
step2-place asparagus into vinegarette of your choice for 15 minutes to marinate
step3-cut tomatoes to desired size and separate lettuce and wash off thoroughly
step4-slice mozzarella into thickness that meets your amount of salad needed
step5-chop the fresh basil and toss into bowl with all other ingredients including the vinegarrette enjoy!!!!

sounds good gary,
here's my 2 cents:
for sure don't ruin this with store bought italian dressing or the like.
use a balsamic vinaigrette, or extra virgin oil blended with a reduction of balsamic with a tiny touch of brown sugar to cut down on the acidity.
instead of leaf lettuce, go with fresh spinach leaves or wild greens.
one last note, fresh mozz. is bland. needs a pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper.
