I would like to see Gatti whack him, I do not think Mayweather has the chin to last against Gatti and I do not think Mayweather can knock Gatti out before he gets rocked by Gatti, despite how much Mayweather will be able to hit him.
There is a good possibility that Gatti could get cut or mouse up around the eyes early, this could cause Gatti not to be as effective for as many rounds as he needs to be.

Awesome, someone else that actually watches boxing. A lot of experts are saying that Mayweather will control the fight and win my UD, I'm inclined to agree with this. Though this has been the year of upsets so Gatti might wack him early.
Like Simon posted, Gatti's skin is in question, but also his hands have never been known as durable so that might come in to play as well if he's looking for the KO.
Anyone catch Kostya/Hatton? Crazy fight, never saw the end coming. When is Hopkins/Taylor?
By the way.. The heavyweight division has been and is more than ever a complete joke. Vitali needs to unify the titles or step down.

Both fighters are bad muthas. I pick Gatti, for no other reason than I like him as a fighter.
Joe, are you wearing mascara in your avatar? J/K

Either way it will be a war, but we've seen the beatings Arturro survived against Mickey ward, if he survives those mayweather wll be a cake walk.

I'm still sticking with Mayweather by UD, he really doesn't have to hurt Gatti or even phase him to win the UD. Gatti's best chance I think is trying to force Mayweather into a brawl and go for the KO.

Pretty unbelievable ending...I have never seen anyone get hit that many times consecutively. It was like Mayweather was working out on a heavy bag. Pretty sad because I love Gatti as a fighter (Old school to the end) I am glad they ended it because those kind of beatings can easily turn tragic.
Ricky Hatten is the real deal..keep an eye on him.
Hopkins is going to smash Taylor.
Joseph...I see you are from Orlando...Are you coming to the tournament here on July 16th?

I did not get to see it as I was driving back from an event, it certainly was a very possible ending just considering how much Gatti gets hit by most fighters much less Mayweather, speed kills.......

Hey Chris your right about Hatton he is a monster, his fitness is unrivled by anyone in that weight id go as far as saying the way he fights he has to be able to do 24 rounds of boxing for the constant on slaught he puts on his rivals.id like to see him a little more accurate with his punches but hes still only young and can only get better.i dont no if the Mayweather fight will happen for a while as i think they will want to clean up the titles before they have a unify match but Hatton will win, in that weight hes far to strong for anyone and can take a bang to boo

If a Mayweather/Hatton fight is to happen, it won't in the US.

Exactly, I wouldn't want to leave the favor of my hometown crowd either. If Hatton came to the US it could give Mayweather a huge advantage (Refs, Judges, etc) and vice versa with Hatton.
Maybe they could have it in South America like the Rumble in the Jungle...
...okay that would never happen. lol

I just watched the replay on HBO, it was an utter clinic that Mayweather put on. I've never seen such a one sided fight, and Gatti's heart was amazing asking his corner for one more round...
...What really made the fight even more special was Mayweather's emotions after the fight, weeping on his knees in the middle of the ring as he said Gatti was a great fighter.
Anyone who can catch this fight, please do. I wasn't a fan of Mayweather before this fight but I am now without a doubt.
