Gabe me being in your shoes has nothing to do with this. I am not judging you, I am applying biblical principles.
I know that people who don't read and understand God's word think that if it doesn't say "Thou shall not" then there is nothing to keep them from doing it. Which is exactly my point. God's word is made up mostly of principles that we are to use to guide our lives, not commandments. If a person hasn't excepted Christ then they are almost totally blind to most of these principles. Unless that person truly has an honest heart. I believe you do Gabe. I really do. That is what I said in my post that you are sincere just sincerely wrong. Again it is not just my opinion that wouldn't hold any weight it is the written word of God that I am comparing you to that made me say what I said.
That brings me to another point. Jay I totally respect and understand what you are saying and I mean that. But the fact of the matter is this. Either the Bible is right or it is wrong. Period!! God would NOT allow confusion to guide his people. When God sees someone truly searching and trying to find his will in their lives he will direct them. If the Bible were not TOTALLY and COMPLETELY true then he would have ended it along time ago. He is too concerned about our eternal destiny to allow us to believe mere men's opinions and words. It is the true inspired word of God.
The problem is we live in such an imperfect and corrupt world that it is hard to imagine anything being perfect. But that is exactly what God is. When he puts his name on something it WILL be without error.
Gabe my point about your language was that it wasn't something that would bear out Godly characteristics. You can't tell me that you think if God were here in the flesh he would use the same type of language. I know he wouldn't.

And that leaves us with the same debate on whats real and not its all just beliefs to be honest. Had you been born in a Muslim country with little or no Christianity, would you still have found your way to Christ? Or would you then be searching for Allah? I am not downing anyone's religion or beliefs at all so please please dont take me wrong. I just have a real problem, personally, with basing my whole life on a book that was written by a man, and even more, man's opinions of what parts of it mean. But thats me. I mean no dissrespect. Nor try to get anyone to believe or live the way I do.

all i gotta say about this 'G-d Stuff' advice: is search for its proof(s) yourselves before you say this and this and this, examine all thats told to you dont just believe it, see for yourself
be sincere and be honest with yourself and pray to G-d himself for all possibilities of untrueness when it comes to these things.
