I will say this. Autistic kids are some the smartest kids on the freaking planet!!!!! My son was diagnosed with Autism when he was almost two and he has amazed us ever since. Alot of people have the wrong impression of Autistic people and I am glad that the world takes notice once in awhile.

Pete, does he have any special gifts or talents?? I am sure they will emerge as he gets older.
I use to work with this one teen with aspbergers who had photographic memory. He was able to read a book, and recite the entire thing back verbatim. Amazing !!
Also, he was able to look at any piece of furniture and build it jsut by looking at it. sometimes these are the most amazing peoople on the planet !!

Autism
Seen it on TV Today Six three pointers, How exciting Kid made great shots, What more can you say
Now Hollywood has found a star They’ll hang on his words Want to know what he’ll say He has become a hero He will certainly go far
Funny thing to me At the end of that night He was the same kid As the morning before Only thing different to see
He was given a chance to try That which was already inside him Was allowed to come out Intersection of preparedness and opportunity His particular story can make you cry
He deserves all attention he will receive For many times I am sure there was none But there are still others waiting for the chance to play They also want someone to believe
