Dan Brown didn't falsify any information, he's being sued for copyright infringement. Well he's not being sued it's his publishing company that's being sued. Another writer wrote a book quite a few years ago and is claiming Brown used some of the material.

I believe it was (Holy Blood, Holy Grail) by Michael Baigent. The thing is that he couldnt have used any ideas from the book, because this is a tail that has been passed down for hundreds of years, but I do believe that he used a excerpt of a co-author of Holy blood, Holy Grail. Neither are fans of each other due to different beliefs on the matter, and also you could say that a little bit of jealousy could be afoot due to proper timing of Browns release. Ill check into it some more though.

The divinci code is laughed at by almost all scholars regardless if thier conservative or liberal in thier beliefs. Its nothing more then a fairy tale. Matl'e is right though, a version of this story has been passed down for a few hundred years but most of it can easily be proven false.

It's just another "Raiders of the Lost Ark" type story. A mix of of history and fantasy for entertainment value. I personally thought it was fairly entertaining. So was Dan Brown's Angels and Demons.

Actually it wasnt thought of as a tale until resently when it was scientificly studied. The question of the Holy Grail has always been talked about, but none of the logics could be nailed down. Also the Archs that were said to be the protecters of the grail were tied with many groups.... One of them was actually the Zions. They could only track the story and the grail back to 1300 a.d. so thats where it stops. Its one of those things where they get on a track that seems to have promise and it just peters out some where along the line. Anyways I still think they are good reads if you just keep in mind that its fiction and nothing more. I read more than any armwrestler should and try to just keep in mind that there is non-fiction on one side and fiction on the other. In most cases though now days non-fiction is closer to fiction with all the crap people come up with.

The history channel and biography channel sure dont show the davinci code and the theories of christ having children as fiction. They do not clearly state that this is all funed theory but more boldly teach this as the truth the church kept secret.
it is that kinda stuff that truly angers me........when people and groups rag christians for believing the bible fully.....yet they teach such idiocy as absolute fact with 0% evidence.

Actually, the History Channel's viewpoint wasn't that it was true or not, only just about where the story comes from. Also, for every person that said it was true, they had another person (they were all Christians), explaining why it wasn't. You can't have one without the other. To truly be educated enough to make a decision, you must hear everyone's perspective. That's what the History Channel does. You are right, the History Channel does not say that it is all funed theory, because if it did we could call them the Church Channel. It does not have any agenda, other than to create informative shows that attempt to show all facets of a topic. Also, your last statement about people and groups ragging Christians while teaching idiocy is true, however, you can't possibly say that the History Channel is one of them. I watched that show twice, and at the end they clearly stated that everything about the Da Vinci Code will never be proven, and that you can believe whatever you want.

By the way, I happen to love the History Channel, and let me say this. After watching the show, (twice), I was not offended because afterwards I still knew that the Bible is the Bible, and that everything in it about Jesus was still true. Reading stuff like the Da Vinci Code, or anything like it is not blasphemy, nor is it hypocritical. God does not want us to be blindingly following him. That's why he gives us a choice. Things like these stories can only serve to strenghten your faith. If they do sway you, then you were probably unsure of your faith before you ever saw it. God created us to be highly intelligent so we could acquire all of the information and viewpoints and use that intelligence to hopefully realize that it all leads to him.
