mui tai clench. I dont think he had any idea about that and the nose break was so devastating. Now he will look like Ken Shamrock. I am sure he didnt think about it but his move should have been to grab andersons leg and head for the canvas. The damage he did to his midsection was bad but then the nose breaking over to one side was terrible. I am glad I armwrestle instead of that game. Too much damage. Heck thats why they gave me handcuffs and a taser

Yea James, I agree it as real as it gets! It is a tough sport but I like it...If I was 18 I would give it a shot probably, not that I love fighting but I like the sport, training and the discipline it brings...Fame and Girls in Vegas are a plus too... ;D We will see if Franklin can make a comeback- I guess he needs to take of the business with Mike Quick S. next...

truley if Rich is going to get it together he needs to see this for what it was. He simply underestimated what this guy could do in a clinch and Anderson executed something he learned probably in Thailand training. He simply made the opening strikes and cut off the exit with the knee and Rich bought the whole mistake lock stock and barrel. If I did do this kind of sport you could only wonder just how bad I would punish this guy the next time we met lol. I would seriously start just the same way he did but when he moved towards me thinking he would clinch again I would crash his party on the first post base I could find after grabbing one or two legs. Then it would be all about the ground and pound and the Jujitsu. Seriously I think it would have been a great fight if he had just not fell for the false sense of saftey. I saw the way anderson cinched his elbows together when he clinched and Rich did no good trying to get out of it. Truthfully a severe uppercut "you know like he owed ya money". That would have cleared it enough to shoot. I like to watch and I observer closeley but me I would never risk the suspension around my brain that holds it in place. Even the japanese guy Hiro ..... he was a master at avoiding much of the physical damage in the Fitch fight but Fitch is a new breed of fighter just like Hughes and Shirk. Fitch isnt quite as muscular as those guys but pattened ground and pound guys with stamina like Ortiz will far outway people like Lidell who have pinpoint accuracy and severe punching power for a single punch. The first guy that gets past Lidells punches and puts him on the ground depending on their skill will remind him that just because you win and no one can get close is no reason to let the cardio go. Hopefully before he meets Tito again he will figure that out or then again he could just get the one punch to win for the rest of his days. He may be that good but it is obvious on his last fight he is getting cocky and letting the midsection go. SOmeone will show up with an answer for that in the next year unless he figures out he is slacking because of some over self confidence. If it was me Just on my appearance the first person to say I was getting a little chunky and I would be back on the treadmill. BTW I am a little chunky right now but I am going to remedy that through the month of November. See you at florida state?

Unreall fight, Just goes to show anything can happen on any given night. I just hope the Tito effect doesn't come in and haunt Franklin down the road. You know losing two very large fights that you needed to win....

Anyone who is a UFC fan should check out the Pride PPV on sat.
It is the first Pride in the USA and they definetly have put together a great card headlined by HVYWT champ Fedor. Probably the baddest man on the planet.

Fedor is a one heck of a striker, but striking is not his main game. In Combat Sambo you learn to strike first and disorient your enemy and then use grappling skills to finish him. It's all part of the hand to hand combat system that you would use in war, but the most powerful part of the martial art is the grappling. Many think it is just leg locks, but I found that sambo has as many if not more submissions than jiu-jitsu, r other similar grappling styles. I have a few of the sambo world championships on DVD if anyone would like to see Fedor in action using Sambo or "R.O.S.S."? He won three world titles in a row and didn't show a lick of strain. In the a Sambo tournament you compete in sport and combat styles and try to win both for your world title... Though if you win one of the two you still earn a title, just not as big. Fedor is a master at throws and an amazingly quick and agile grappler. I would think that he could win the ADCC if he wanted. So none the less what I was getting at was; Fedor and his brother are world class submission artist, but found out quickly that they had enough respect on the ground that alot of guys wanted to stand up, and then those guys found out after they got knocked out that they wanted to grapple Yes it is a east block thing where we think our style is better!

Does anyone know if Vanderlay Silva is on saturdays card? Also is he ever going to fight Lidell?

no he's not on saturdays card, and I know they won't be fighting anytime soon. The ufc and pride can not come to an agreement so the fans will suffer.
I think wandy would beat chuck in that fight.

Vanderlay got beat in a pride fight from what they said last week . It said Crocop beat him. I distinctly remember them saying during the matches the other night that Alistar Overeem beat Vanderlay and then Ricardo Arona beat him. Maybe I was wrong and the winner was supposed to fight vanderlay but vanderlay lost to Crocop so now maybe its crocop and arona. www.prideofficial.com/free/result/event/1152779532.htmlthe pride guys seem to be well versed. Chuck might get a wakeup call.
