BOOOOOOO!!!!!
But seriously, the Ducks were the best team this year, and they proved it. Had they not lost Pronger for a stretch in the middle of the season, they may have won the President's Trophy.
SABRES IN '08!!!

Take that Canada, The cup lives in So.Cal for the next year Did anyone outside of that arena, even notice that they had won? The streets looked dead! Hockey doesn't seem too popular down there. Anyways, the Ducks are a great team and deserve it. Congrats to them! "There are a lot of predictions," Anaheim GM Brian Burke said. "It's a Canadian-U.S. thing. A lot of the Canadian media are going to pick the Canadian team. That's fine. We have more Canadians on our team than Ottawa does. That's fine. But we're content to be the underdog in this. It's clear to us that we are (the underdogs). We like our team. And we're happy with our group. We're proud of this group and we're happy to be here."

I just don't know what else Ottawa can do to win the Cup. They've been an elite team for the past decade but can't ever get over the hump. Everyone thought Emery would be their weakness in the playoffs but it didn't turn out that way. They simply got out-gritted AGAIN.
On a side note, the NHL has to get more consistent with their enforcement of rules. Specifically, obstruction/interference has gotten out of hand. Last year every time a forward what interfered with when chasing a dumped puck, it was called. And goalies were fair game if they came out of the crease. This year, interference is allowed every time a guy chases a dumped puck, and if you so much as stare at a goalie the wrong way they'll call you for goalie interference. Very frustrating lack of consistency.
