Kyle way to go. I just celebrated my first year in Christ last month. Now the true tests will begin for you, but you also know you are one with the Lord and He is there for you more than ever as well. Congratulations!

Congrats Kyle!!! It is a Catholic teaching that, among many other implications, your baptism begins your life in the Spirit and your past transgressions are wiped clean, along with the punishments associated with the transgressions. All Protestant and Catholic baptisms that use water, and that are done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are valid.
And don't worry about the hard work. Every time you feel weak, ask for help. You will get it. I'm a slow learner. It took me about 40 years to figure it out. NEVER give up hope in the hardships of life. When you mess up (ie., lose your patience with a friend or coworker) ask for the grace of patience. All those good things that you ask for will be given to you in God's time. Sometimes you have to work on one issue (like impatience) for years. God bless,
Bob
