Wish I knew everything about the juicing allegations. Barry Bonds has accomplished a lot, but can you fairly compare him to Hank Arron? The lines have been blurred. JMO

Roids can't help you put the bat on a ninety mile an hour fastball.
I think most of them are on. He's still the best hitter of our generation.

I believe the question we need to ask is: Would Bonds be the homerun champ without the PE? The answer is an obvious no. Bonds, when with the Pirates was a double hitting, base stealing, RBI producing machine. His homeruns were fair, not off the charts. Personally I would like to see someone pass him, maybe Ryan Howard, since I am not an AROD fan.
But the fact remains that Barry Bonds is the greatest hitter in our generation and baseball in general turned a blind eye during the whole McGwire, Sosa, Bonds years. Also though Barry Bonds is an arrogant guy, so I can see why he is so polarizing. I wish he would have just stayed clean, hit his 600, and went down as one of the greatest players to have ever played the game, no asterick.

Why Bonds isn’t the greatest.
Bonds first 5 years averages are 260 batting, 67 RBI’s, 23 HR, 33 SB. Good but nothing great. Look up Albert Pujols, A-Rod, Guerrero, Frank Thomas, Ichiro, ManRam and even Chipper Jones. They all had much better stats then Bonds in their first 5 years. In Bonds first 10 years he hit over 40 Hrs once, over 120 rbis once and hit over 300 only 4 times. Yes he was a good player even great at times (except not throwing out sid breem (slowest guy in the league from atl) with the playoffs on the line). His 5 years of crazy play station numbers are truly amazing but lets be honest they are suspect in many ways. It’s not like he was 25-30, he was 35-40 when almost all players are on the downside of their peek numbers. Yes he has Hall of Fame eyes, (walks) and was a 5 tool player for most of his career but let’s not get crazy and say he’s one of the best of all-time. Put: Mickey, Mays, Aaron, Williams, Fox, Lou, Stan, Killebrew, Robinson, Cap and even that Boston pitcher that did alright hitting on supplements with modern day training much less some HGH or Juice and Bonds numbers would again be just good. Oh one more thing the great hitting Bonds Career batting ave to date is .298, that’s 25th for active players and 226th all-time

*759*-I figure he will hit 9 more before this year is done. Now Bonds and his legal team is going after Curt for the comments he made against him. Good idea but a little late don't you think?

Juice will not help you make contact with the ball, but it will help you swing the bat a hell of a lot faster than with out it. He can swing that bat faster than most in the majors. He has not always had that speed. I don't believe that you get faster as you get older. As far as some of the others of his time putting up better numbers, Griffey was easily the player of the 90's and as for this decade coming to an end it could be a few players that could be labeled player of the decade like Pujols, A-rod or Bonds as much as I hate to say it. I personaly believe that his record will always be tainted. As long as A-rod stays healthy he will pass Bonds, with the possibility of Pujols passing him.
