Okay so I voted UAL assuming the question is which did I like better between UAL 6 and the first WAL event. Without hating on or trying to make either organization upset, this is just my opinion, UAL 6 vs WAL "1". UAL was more professional in appearance. UAL had better commentary BUT both lacked good commentary (of course UAL had good commentary with Neil and others on the live feed, I'm just talking the commentary at the event). Reffing was better at UAL. The talent level was insane at both. I've thought about it a decent amount and decided the comp level was equal. The classes were insanely stacked at both events. Wal had more prize money for the pro class in the tourney. It's not all about the money but money is nice. Wal had after pulling which is IMO a must have at tourneys... With that being said I really liked both tourneys and although I picked UAL as the better tourney this time I doubt ill be attending many UAL events anytime soon with the new "have to be contracted to get paid" rule... Like I said its not all about the $ but I don't see the point in traveling to a tourney where I can't get paid when there's a tourney with an equal comp level paying... And if others think the same as I'm sure they will, wal will become more stacked too. So ill pick the tourney with money and, likely, more comp, when I travel. If I go to non money events they will be local, unless its nats or worlds, pretty much how I've been doing things for years. good answer i agree with a lot of what you said and i liked both but i liked WAL a little more

Event was pretty bada$$, like Brian said the set grip starts didnt appeal to many. Every class had a stacked class of pullers. Was pretty impressive. yup i believe this style would be more of a advantage to travis' style of pulling but it was something diff and i enjoyed it. I think this style also helped quick hitters and helped pullers with bigger/stronger hands imo

As I understand it, once Michigan loses the team competition, the UP will become part of Canada and everything south of the UP will become the new northern Ohio. i would want that too if i was from ohio it might lessen the embaressment of being from ohio

question i have
those people who trash talk/hit the table and make a lot of noise
is it because of nerves? or trying to affect the other puller?

nerves dont get to me until they start pulling the lighter classes
if you keep your mind on other things and you have friends around you to keep your mind on other things its not so bad when your waiting
i have laid in bed watching tv in my hotel room up until they get close to time to pull
nerves dont bother me at all anymore as long as i am not thinking about armwrestling every second lol
