A challenge match. All I'm suggesting is we make better use of our terminology. You want to challenge someone... Then set up a challenge match. That's your right to do so as you said. But the term "super match" should be reserved for the top elite (state or national) competitors that in most cases a promoter is actually paying them to compete at their event. Even mediocre or less than mediocre competitors like myself shouldn't have "super matches" I meant no disrespect. I just think its corny, and is not really good from a spectator perspective to refer to a novice challenge match as a "super match" "Super" competitors might feel just as offended by referring to a novice challenge match as a super match. I got it now. So what your saying, Ryan, is that you can never have a super match?

Hey guys, yall should all go to the thread about TX state vs Contraband and let them know that it's not cool to host these two tournaments on the same day. I think if enough of us are willing to make out to support their tournament as long as it's on a different weekend, they may be willing to try and adjust the date. We need to try and all start working together do we can get bigger and better tournaments!

The same thing is happening with Alabama State and TK's tournament in Florida. I for one would like to go to both. Alabama State has been on the same weekend for years and now the Florida tournament has scheduled for the same day. This keeps competitors, like myself, that like to travel to go to both locations and pull with different guys. Also my teammates that have agreed to supermatches with Jesse and TK have the same dilemma. They would like to go to AL State but have already agreed to the other and now the dates are the same. It seems Florida's mentality on it is that it will not hurt their turnout because their guys never travel anyway. This is not true because it doesn prevent the one's that actually travel from making it. Come on all you guys from Texas! Don't have the Florida mentality. Let's work together and have two great tournaments with a lot of competition! if it's in the same state? I can see a dilema...but when ours is in ST Peterburg which very far south of Bama? we're not effecting Al turn out.... but let me explain how this stuff works, because this is making seem as if we are doing this maliciously? we are actually filming a TV show, and we're working with this venue to get thier $$ towards the TV show. If Feb 9th is what they choose? and we aren't conflicting within our state? there is NO problem whatsoever? so we trying to lift the sport up, I'm sorry if our date conflicts with AL's.......but i'm sure there is more than one state having an event in late Jan & early feb that could conflict.....but it's how you promote and who you bring to your event......but WE try our best to keep FLA from stepping on each other.....we all communcate (with the exception of IAF) as to not be on each other.....but sorry we can't controll all states. so if TX wants to host an event same day as LA, it's kinda 2 diff states ya know. TK You can't tell me your tournament won't affect AL state. Craig and Ray both would be attending AL State if not for the supermatch that is set up at your tournament. And I'm sure if they were to show up there, there would be some others that would make it out just to pull them.... Just Sayin

Why is it that you guys that host these tournaments can't seem to understand that holding tournaments in the same region on the same day HURT the sport. We don't have near enough tournaments in our area as it is, and holding tournaments on the same day pulls people from each tournament. If the Texas guys stay in Texas and Louisiana guys in Louisiana what do you have?....A big practice with a couple other guys around your state that don't normally practice with you. Turbo says he has connections, so why not check with them and see if another date around the same time would work. If you are able to put a couple weeks between the tournaments, it would give Texas guys the chance to come to LA and LA guys a chance to go to Texas. It will hurt the tournout of both tournaments, which hurts the sport, to hold these events on the same day.

Haha! I don't think you're going to need a headstart of any kind from what I hear about you. I'm right around your weight, maybe 210. I have to quit going to lunch with the guys at the office.
