I like the feel of this and like others believe it is a good step or three in the right direction.
I think an important early realization promoters and arm wrestlers alike would need to realize is no matter what Everyone will not be happy. Accept that and move in the right direction. They'll say it's unfair and X, Y, or Z is getting special "undeserved" seeding. They'll say they should be seeded higher, or some would even want to be lower with easier competition early. So as a promoter/organizer one would need to determine before hand this is how we're doing it and let that jawing(that will happen) role off your back. Don't ignore claims or input, that's not what I'm saying, but give them what weight they deserve. Life is opinion mixed with perspective and a much less sampling of absolutes.
As I said, I would very much like to see this or something similar be implemented.

Sounds like an interesting hobby. I've never done anything like that so what's something I can start with? Where I work I've got long 12hr shifts of crew/plant management so practically nothing physical. Id like to try it out.

I had a great time even though I got a bit to fat and missed 76's. Leonard and his crew did a great job reffing. Plus a quick shout out for Steve Jackson winning the 76 left over some stiff competition including Jim Coyle and a Dusty Coleman from Louisiana.

I'm looking for this to be my first tourny in over 2 years. Getting restless already to pull the 176 class. I know Leonard always does a great job reffing. Are there any guys out there planning to make it this year? Lets hear it

Awesome wins David, great final match for the video too. I like how it started out black and white but as David "came to life" and got closer to winning the color came in, nice touch.

From the ONLY match I saw, so I'm not claiming to have the final answer. But IMO it looked like he stay well above the pad when in a "losing" position and dropped below at neutral or above. I did look back at the rules and it didn't clarify this aspect even though it was asked about so we ended up in this situation despite Bill's attempt to prevent it. Again, ONE Match.. If he sit below the pad a whole match in the losing position then this one match's data is irrelevant.

That's good right there. Nice to see the intensity building AND still being respectful.

I was recently moving and came across my first ever Armwrestling event trophy(tried attaching a pic). I was 12 years old in the 75-100lb class, single elimination local festival tournament. I remember winning through right handed but on the last guy he was left handed so we flipped and he won the toss. I still won the match and have loved Armwrestling every since. I just walked into this realm of AW in 2009 at the arkansas state tournament. Its been a huge eye opener to see the degree of variance from the top to the bottom. I'm still low on the totem pole for now, but we all start somewhere. Anyone else have a story about thier first ever trophy or what event really let the bug sink his teeth in on ya?
If this is concidered OT I apologize.
