I was thinking that these exciting money matches should happen but should be called something else.
Lets save the supermatch title for the best of the best!
Selearis and Tullier are arguably two of the best pullers under 200 and deserved all the hype
We can call these other duels; Challenge matches, Money matches or Grudge matches etc.
Maybe it's just sematics, but, it will help keep Supermatches really special
any thoughts?

Good idea! You could even get into the realm of Super-Grudge matches.

Yeh, it seems like everybody is getting nominated for the ''Super Match" now a days. Takes all the fun out of it.

In my opinion any match which two people put up their own money or win a prize of a 1000.00 or more any two guys, is a supermatch

To me, that is more gambling than a Super Match. A Super Match implys forces to be reconned with on both sides. Any person can put up money over Arm-Wrestling.

Hey Chris if two guys across town wanted pull each other for a thousand dollars would you really care. Other then wanting in on the action. ;D of course not.
There are many different caliber of armwrestlers. So why not different kinds of super matches. But the ultimate super match is when the best pull the beast (i ment best) ;D

I follow that theory, but in converse if John Brzenk was pulling Klimenko in albany would you drive to see it? even if there was no money? ofcourse you would !! the top dogs will draw with or without money. the term " supermatch" gives somebody a prestigeous feeling to their pull. I am for what ever the populus votes baby!! they can call it "celebrity death match" and I will still pull, still bet ,and still drive to see John Christopher Myers |
