Yeah.. I feel Chris' pain on the light weight classes not there. However, I completely understand why it isnt. I am happy that the sport was liked enough by Fox Sports for them to want to host an event themselves. The more Armwrestling the public sees, the better off we all will be. Hey, I am even poetic lol J

Actually Ryan, they hold pool games and poker tournaments in a part of the casino called the Wolf's Den. It is really cool and that is also where they have said they would like to hold armwrestling. They have huge ballrooms and even an arena that holds more than 10,000 people but the den is definately the best place for it. It will be more apt to draw the attention of the people gambling right nearby.

ok here's an idea to approach them with for the future if the show goes as well as expected, (and it should since this idea is a result of earlier coverage of armwrestling and they are interested in it growing obviously.)
Take the top 2 lightweight, middle, lightheavy, heavy and women and have each match 2/3 in each show segment. This should be well within the limits of air time and something I'm sure they'd like to see. Would show that all kinds of different people and different sized people can armwrestle. Would make for good tv too talking to each athlete and why and how they started and continue armwrestling. The diversity would make it really interesting.

Jeff, there is a 165 invitational the week before in Chehalis. The 198 class being at both events is already causing some conflict, throw in a 165 and you will have a mirror of the Chehalis event and even more armwrestlers racking up frequent flier miles. That's a good idea. It would make for some great match-ups.

I believe it is first come first serve, but I could be wrong. If I were you, I would come down and try my hardest to get front row seats!!!

I would try both, just to be on the safe side. If I hear anything I will let everyone know.
