I think it would be awesome to have a circuit of tournaments in every part of the country so that everyone can access to the qaulifier to this big tournament and the qualifiers would only qualify for the paid expenses. The tournament itself should be open to all.
This could be a way to advertise the program.

i would like to see a 143 pound class....maybe im just a biased skinny guy. but i kinda think that they should get somethin like a national championship fully covered. that way people could see the broad spectrum of people and sizes that armwrestle and then they might wanna get into it to....instead of seein only big huge guys and think they'd get tore up if they ever tried to get into competitive armwrestlin...

I like all of the ideas...this is awesome.
Some more realistic than others.
Todd- Live streams is going to happen
I like your king of the hill team style idea
and John B's wagering
I would love to see something in the form of Virgil and Cleve. -from Virgil's testimony of that day....it was something you had to be there to truly experience. Each side did have friends backing eachother, putting there money in their friends corner.
How awesome would it be to see this on a grander scale?
Not just one match up to bet on....BUT a wide arrange of match ups.
Different odds going in each category. Long shot? anyone, I will put money that this will happen. I am not a big gambling man but I would put some money down for this.
I have word that they are already reading what you have posted and...
you have definitely piqued interests...so keep them coming.

Andrew and Jeremy, I think you guys should pull heavier during the year and pull 143 only at major events. Just a thought

Mike... that would definitely be a "dream"... I'm sure one that won't come true any too soon. I'm still thinking about what would make a dream tournament, something that maybe hasn't already been suggested. There are a lot of good suggestions and many coming from different promotional angles. Gary... thank "whoever" asked you to bring it to "the board"! hopefully the ultimate dream tournament can become a reality sooner than later! See you soon... Elaine

Hell look how popular TV reality shows are now!!!!!! Every TV station has their own Guy meets Girl, Girl meets Guy, Fighting, Boxing, living together saga reality show. Why not base a show around armwrestlers. Take them into a particular training facility for 12 weeks and be training them for a big tournament coming up in Vegas that will be televised on Fox Sports or ESPN. I am sure that the public would love to see how armwrestlers train, and why we don't do "full range lifts". I personally know that we would blow the public's mind on how much weight we can move with our arms. Get into the basics like how we do wrist curls, hammer curls, and other precise workout exercises. I personally think I look pretty good on TV, how about the rest of you? ;D There are sporting compaines out there who would promote armwrestling to the fullest. We will have to have some really good marketing for ourselves, and sell ourselves to the public. Make armwrestling a sport that people desire!!!!!! Look how popular Texas Hold 'em has gotten!!!!!!!! You used to never see a bunch of poker players on TV for hours at a time, and now the game has taken the world like wild fire. I believe one of the large TV firms promoted it like Fox Sports, but I could be mistaken. Now every store you walk into you see cards, poker chips in nice carrying cases, fold out poker tables, etc. Armwrestling could easily be just as popular if not more. The reason is because anyone can do it. Here is the age defying question, and everyone knows the answer to it. Who all has armwrestled in their life?
I'll be thinking about more ideas.

Weight classes should be as follows:
143 165 187 209 231 231.xx - over
If those are too many classes then have these:
165 187 209 231+

Olin, that is really is a pretty cool idea! Did you think of that all by yourself? You're right... the reality tv thing would be a pretty good marketing tool for armwrestling. Very interesting... Oh, on your weight divisions, did you leave out the ladies' divisions because you have no idea of what classes there should be or perhaps none at all...? Seems we're always being left out of the mix... Great idea, though...

Elaine, If im not mistaken in the show Ultimate Fighter there a bunch of guys couped up in the same house till its over. It probly wouldnt be too god idea to throw women in there to. Then it would be strictly PPV

Ryan, if you watched "The Biggest Loser", there were women and men in that one... so it CAN be done!

Elaine you are correct! I think it would be better if the males and females were kept seperate. We wouldn't wany "anything" to distract their training.
