Sometimes things happen that make us lose sight of our values. I have let this happen in the things I have done and said on here (or on the CAWF board)... it just took someone to point that out to me and give me a reality check. I love this sport and the reason I love this sport is because of the commeradery in it. I don't like the way Mr. Bagent comes off sometimes but I suppose they will put on TV what they want to put on TV to make the show better and generate a buzz.
I have never used hatred as motivation before and I really do not want to start now. What would my daughter think watching the tape of the match 5 years from now if something stupid happened on stage? Travis... lets just give them a show and pull... and hopefully afterwards, no matter who wins, we can have a beer and not end up in the parking lot like a lot of people think we will. That is what the sport is all about.

Ryan: You could have easily went up to Travis BEFORE the supermatch and explained this all to him or instant messaged him, BUT NOOOOOO you had to go and ruin ALL the hype 2 weeks before. GOD STOP listening to these PANTY WASTES!!!!! Now who really cares what happens in Halifax on the 9th. BTW: Travis in a parking lot...NEVER!!! He is to much of a nice guy......REALLY HE IS EVERYONE!!!!! ;D

Hopefully the hype will be more about armwrestling than whatever else it was about...

Why James? What does it have to do with me? I"ll see Travis in August in Little Rock and then HOPEFULLY Ryan in Japan. What does it matter to me who wins. ALL it comes down to is who goes first before the "ready ".. Either way, I don't care

Travis IS the show. He makes any tournament that he goes to a BIG deal. People that have never seen armwrestling, & go & see Travis pull love the way he talks. " This is MY House & ain't no one gonna beat me in my house!" Now come on, tell me that does not get everyone going. Travis talks & backs it up. He really is a nice person off the table, ask around.
If you could steal the show like Travis does, wouldn't you?? Sure you would...
Just my 2 cents, now wheres my change...

Ryan,
Allthough we dont formally know each other I have read many of your posts and share almost identical points of view to most things you have posted. How could you ever wind up fighting over armwrestling? you would have to be very insecure to let someone get under your skin that much. You could not get Travis in the parking lot if you tried. Other than to defend himself you could not get Travis to put his hands up. I have known Travis for years long before he was popular or the most outrageous person in Armwrestling. I want to tell you he is not the person in real life he is on stage. He is trying to give people a show and wether we like being the other person on the table with him or not the bottom line is the sport has never had more hype than right now since Travis is doing what he is doing. And Travis is a very gracious loser as well as a winner. So please dont feed into any hype you might be hearing from some jealous idiot. and that is the only thing it could be someone jelous of the attention you and Travis will get. No matter what antics take place on the stage there should never be a reason to fight a fellow armwrestler. Remember Travis has no problem with people showboating back at him Ron Bath does it to him all the time and he does not want to fight Ron Just my opinion but I dont want the haters to buzz in your ears and set you up to look stupid

I was speaking figuratively Chris... but hasn't Travis had physical altercations on stage where people have stepped in because they thought something would happen?
With: Ron Bath Voevoda and very recently Earl and George.
This is not the WWE... it is not scripted... this is real life and people should not be made to look like fools even if it is just to build the show.
What you posted on here for Travis while he was still in Poland really upset me. It was total disrespect on both your parts. Do I like who Travis makes himself out to be... no I friendlying hate that person... but if it is not who he really is he should remember that this is not acting and people take what he says personally.

Ryan I was in Canada, Both George and Earl are the ones who lost there cool not Travis. To me thats disrespectful. Remember Ryan sticks and stone can break my bones but..... I think you know the rest. I cant understand why you guys are so damn up tight you should be kissing Travis's ass for these super matches, he started them. He is also not running from anyone 3 weeks ago Barbosa, last weekend Devon, this weekend you, and then LasVagas. What is everyone else doing for armwrestling? and their claims to be the best? I spent the weekend with him and he had nothing but kind words for you, Yet you say he and Chris Myers are disrespectful look in the mirror dude, I never heard Chris or Travis speak the crap you talked on your Canadian board. My advise to you is call Travis and thank him for the opportunity he has given you, then shut up and pull.

Dan...
To be completely honest with you I did not say a damn thing until I was "called out". But you are right... I dissed Travis hard... and that was not right either.
Don't get on your high horse and ask me what I have done for armwrestling... maybe yo should look at the volume of tournaments I have hosted / promoted (including the Canadian Nationals) and the amount of people I have trained.
Thanks for the advice... but I don't think I will be calling up Travis to thank him. I would have just as soon pulled him at a Worlds.
