"BELT SUPERMATCHES ! "POST YOUR VOTE... and suggestions I suggest that the winner of a SUPERMATCH should be given a TITLE BELT... and have SUPERMATCHES for each class... National & World TITLE BELTS... Unfortunately money SUPERMATCHES are quickly forgotten... but everyone will know who currenly has the BELT for a specific class, because that person will be considered # 1 and the one to beat! OR MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST KEEP CASH SUPERMATCHES & START - BELT TITLES... The Federations should establish the BELT Titles to winners in each class at the NATIONALS & a WORLD BELT Titles at the WORLDS & anyone throughout the year can try to take the BELT? This will add excitement & a goal for a competitor to reach! Armwrestling NEEDS BELT TITLES !ProArmwrestler.com

i bet a new yorker is gonna start super matches in US,or maybe Travis.am i right?otherwise this pushings wouldnt happen.there are so many armwrestlers that cant armwrestle against the best armwrestler or even if he did he wouldnt have chance.supermatches are ok but we must continue having pro tournaments.i dont want a few armwrestlers to armwrestle and a few thousand armwrestlers to watch it.i guess someone has a very strong remote control in his hand and controls ppl.money really buys i guess:)
WWF has certain players and the rest watch them.soon we will have certain characters and the rest will be watching them.i armwrestle the top guy and i would like to armwrestle a guy who is not a top armwrestler.this is how they measure the distance between them and the top.

Engin as always you take our sport and put it first in your heart.. I can tell from our talks last night that you love this sport and all those in it... I too want to see as many armwrestlers as possible. The bigger the events get the more publicity they will attract... We need to fill ballrooms and convention centers in order to get sponsors to realize that our sport is growing and is legitimate..

I think we should have both tournaments AND Supermatches with belts. Tournaments would help an armwrestler raise his rank to be qualified to take on a Title holder for example. But there is a problem. Since this is not a paid sport, some armwrestlers (like myself-college student) who can't afford to defend their title, if they happen to win one, will lose it because they cannot go to an event. I agree with engin on having pride and appreciation for the sport, but as someone who has to use his money for classes, I unfortunately cannot compete as much as others do. And I'm sure many others have different reasons for not being able to either.
I left the sport at 19 after getting 5th righty and lefty in the AAA nationals in 2003. I left because I had seen how much I spent on going there and competing, and it was not worth it. I am a practical person, and I need to think about my future. I'm 21 now, and I have recently decided to start training again, because I actually love the sport. But I doubt I will be driven enough to train for world status, because in my eyes, it's just not worth my time. My parents and gf are all against me going back, soI was like, ok, its just a hobby.
Regretfully, unless this sport because noteworthy, and maybe hits the olympics, or becomes somewhat prestigious in US market, then maybe I will train to become a world champ, in the meantime, my classes, and my future are more important to me.
Just my opinion.

Harry, I'm saying we should have it, if you read carefully. But it is what it is, I cant afford to spend that much time and money, so what I do is focus on one event in the year, and participate in that one only, year round I plan to train.
I ask you to name another college student who has accomplished what I did. My grades actually suffered that year I went to the AAA's, and my gpa will never recover. I am PRAYING I get accepted to a chiropractic school. When I actually work full time in my profession, like most pro's, then thats a different story, but that will take me a while (when I'm 27).
All I'm saying is that it is very hard for pullers to come out when the sport isnt paid. Imagine it was, you would have pullers coming out of the woodwork that could surprise alot of ppl in this sport.
