I would love to see Luke Reimer, but Luke actually did his best pulling at a heavier bodyweight. He beat John Brzenk left handed when luke was weighing 110Kg if I remember correctly. By Luke's admission it was very difficult to maintain that kind of weight because it's not his body's natural weight. (Was that Calgary Stampede?) I have only seen Luke pull 198's one time personally and that was at Petaluma a few years back. He pulled 100kg in Finland. Losing the size to make 198 was tough on Luke. At 110kg I think he'd have won Petaluma left handed. Luke is one of my favorite armwrestlers ever, and I consider him a great friend although I don't get to see him often enough. Luke is a good man and I can't speak highly enough of him. Luke actually beat John once right handed which seemed to shock John, I don't think he new who Luke was and he put a stop to it in the final and Luke slapped John twice Left handed. Has Luke pulled recently? I haven't heard much on him lately.

Dear Neil You are right about my European and World participation before representing Team USA. I was in Team Armenia. As you know, I switched to Team USA and live in Los Angeles now, and I have ALL LEGAL forms to resresent United States in WAF, which I did last 2 Worlds. So, I can represent America in other Events also. Of course, if your Event participation is not based on athlete's nationality..... My respects!

I think it would be foolish to count RJ out at 70kg

65's - Corey Miller if healthy , and Vazgen S. If Neil says no then Rick S or Shawn Kirkpatrick 70's - Luke Kindt, I want to say Brandon Dye but I just can't... I imagine Roman T will be in this class which makes me think, well I don't know what it makes me think... I guess Brandon Dye it is then. 75's - Jake Smith, Allen Fisher, ALT: - Matt Harris 85's - No Chris Chandler ... International experience..... Always exciting..... extremely strong and fast..... him and Mike Selearis have my vote!!! 100-'s - John B, If John say's Tom Nelson then I guess that's good enough for me... Other wise Micheal Todd or Ron Bath..... or Rob V. (we should have a super match for these two spots, or at least the second place spot... he he ) 100+'s - Devon, Travis pretty easily in mind.

Allen beats Matt right handed.
And Matt beating Klemba who beats Jake makes no difference..Styles make matches. Not saying Jake can beat Matt..I'm just saying how they do with another puller doesnt mean anything about a match up between themselves.

Hi Vasgen, I appreciate your comment mate but it really isn't a question of formalities or legality as the decision would not be dependant on such concerns. Whilst you would UNDOUBTEDLY be on mine or anyone elses list as an ELITE level Armwrestler at your weight class, as would my good friend Marcio whom (whilst still choosing to represent Brazil at the WAF Worlds) actually has U.S. citizenship and is therefore is in a similar position. The issue is simply from a TV perspective you would look more natural with your persona and character being developed around your former and original Nationality ie. Armenia. This would be the same if I moved to the U.S. and in 5 years time was fortunate enough to be able to represent the U.S. Team....... it would be of little or no consequence as when the Camera's started rolling and the people watching the show observed and listened to me they would know that the U.S. was not my country of Origin. I would be an "Englishman in New York" even if I lived there and would probably appear more natural, at ease and therefore more easily identifiable for the viewer as an Englishman. Your Pedigree at the table is beyond question Vasgen however and you certainly don't need me or anyone else to tell you that you can definately Armwrestle mate. Take it easy and enjoy your week Vasgen, safe in the knowledge that you rarely have gone unnoticed Cheers Neil

Neil, please pull for the US. We'll call you Mr Bean. We can build an episode around you showing up for training in a mini (a real mini, not a cooper) and sipping Earl Grey in the gym whilst wearing argyle socks and a monacle! You can keep talking about your "SHED-ule" and the "current unpleasantness of the aforementioned, uh, steh-rawds which shall never be tolerated at State school."
Then again, you have always reminded me of Mel Gibson ala the first Mad Max. We could go that route...
It would be awesome!

And so do we!
Funny story:
I had some pictures from a tournament a while back that I was showing at work. All the girls 'OOHed and AAAHHHed' at Mr. Pickup talking about how he looked like a young Mel Gibson. Since I got no ooohs and aaahs I was a little dejected. I saw the Mel Gibson resemblance as soon as they said it. It hadn't occurred to me until then.

Ha ha ha Cheers John ;D I'd throw down the Englishman theme for ya all day but Mr. Bean looks better at cutting weight than I do mate MEL "FLUFFIN" GIBSON ;D ;D ;D ...........get in there......I'll take that all day mate.... ;D I'll have to tell my Wife that..... she will think thats piss Funny ;D but seriously mate thats fine by me if the lasses think I look ANYTHING AT ALL like Mel Gibson that makes me feel just ACE !!! I actually consider myself more of a MEL-ephant !!! right now John I'm still around 220 lbs. and not really finding time to train these days mate between promoting events producing the Eurosport Show and working my day to day job. Plus having our Baby due to come along any day now ya know BUT I had a brief stint of training last Oct -Dec for a Professional Match Up in Italy Vs Giovanni Nimis and that worked out OK for me and I LOVED ARMWRESTLING PROPERLY AGAIN so I do intend to come out to play in Italy again maybe for the Worlds Cheers ;D NELLY BEANHEART ;D

Not saying Jake can beat Matt..I'm just saying how they do with another puller doesnt mean anything about a match up between themselves. Since IMO Matt has a stronger hook it gives you a very good idea of that matchup just like a UFC fight would or common opponents in football it does give you a good idea I am positive he would beat Jake.

I'm in the same boat, Neil. I took the last few years off altogether upon the arrival of my two little ones. Life gets in the way. The kids, throwing myself into my job- there just aren't enough hours in the day. I'm at 220 myself and working toward 198 at a snail's pace. I'm not hitting anything really big, so I'm having fun with it and trying to give the big guys something when I can. Hell, even at 198 my frame's not quite on par beyond Nationals. I ought to be 187.
At least you're getting "Mel Gibson" comments. All I've gotten lately is "Silverback" from Leonard!
