My uncle lived amongst the Inuit for over half of his life. He noticed that broken bones were rare amongst these people compared to the general population that consumes milk as a staple in their everyday diet.
We are the only creature that has found a way to suck milk after we have been weaned from our mothers breast. The rest of the animal kingdom has far more flexible bones than we do.
I have also asked many people from cultures that do not consume large volumes of dairy products about broken bone incidents in the elderly and there is a very identifiable trend there. Our elderly have a fall and break like chalk when they hit the floor. This is not as prevalent in non-dairy dependent societies from what I can see.
I am no expert, and I consume milk as an ingrediant in cooking and with my coffee. I honestly believe my bones have better performance charachteristics now at 46 than when I was 30. Its been about fifteen years since I scaled back from a quart a day guy and I do not seem to suffer many of the aches I used to. I also believe this has helped me avoid serious injury as an armwrestler. We were never designed to consume this food source in the kind of volume that we do. It has obvious side effects. I definitly do not follow the food giude put out by our government as it seems to lean towards lining the pocket of big biusiness more so than our stomachs. Just my opinion.

I go by Arnold's recommendation, "Milk is for babies, real men drink beer!" I've been lactose intolerant since I was about 10 and haven't broken anything but the occasional finger. I've jacked up my joints, but never really bones. I guess we'll see when I get old.

Tim i have drank about a gallon of milk everyday all my life. ive never broken a bone and the only aches i suffer from is the usual muscle soreness from armwrestling and lifting weights. i find it very hard to believe that drinking milk was the cause of your suffering. i believe if i never drank milk then i wouldve had a few broken bones and more arm wrestling injuries for sure.
