I really believe that having a strong rotator (pronation ability of the wrist) is more important than all other aspects of the wrist. Now, certainly, one must be strong everywhere to be great. However, I feel rotation is the most important, as it is generally what will provide you with hand control. That's just the conclusion I've come to in my short time studying this sport. rotation is very effective if you have control over your opponent with your wrist.you must use your rotator with your hand & wrist control to give the highest damage to your opponent, otherwise your rotator will possibly be melted in your opponent's hand.with a strong wrist you will bring your opponent's hand down to your rotator's strongest point to apply maximal pressure.also in armwrestling your opponent's hand is not your only target.you cant win without opening your opponent's arm down to pad.so your wrist is your most important weapon to control your opponent's arm power, and your wrist is your rotator's assistant to provide the best position for it.just imagine two armwrestling arms at the beginning position of the match.both at about 90 degree angles and again imagine that one curls the other arm into his angle.now you have two arms with different angles, one with a great advantage while other with a great disadvantage.of course that your rotator is also important to not to be curled but again your wrist what provides your rotator to perform at it's best.since the rotator is very important as you mentioned you also need to realise that wrist is the thing to control rotator.strongest point to use your rotator is where your thumb locates to your front wrist.your goal is not only to rotate your forearm but is to make it most effective on your opponent.if you lose your wrist you can still use your rotator but it will not be at it's maximal effect on your opponent's wrist because toprolling a wrist is not always possible with back pressure or rotation but also by hand & wrist control on your opponent's front wrist-arm.watch John vs Denis match carefully.John has his rotation dominance over Denis' hand - wrist and the moment that John also gets wrist control then his rotator becomes too much for Denis.but the times that John also lost his wrist made John's rotator less effective because his target got away from his strongest rotator applying point. your wrist is your steering wheel, which is your main weapon.and it makes the rest of important factors more effective.here Umar Shakmanov shows how to make a rotator effective at it's best, against the best hook puller ever. www.worldofarmwrestling.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3306

Engin, Would you say Devon Larratt has WRIST strength to keep from being top rolled the way he pulls. I havent seen anyone ROLL his hand over yet, maybe i havent seen enough of his matches but i would think that is hand and especially WRIST strength is the best to pull calibre pullers such as Ron and John B and not lose his hand. Correct me if im wrong. hello Jamie, if i am not mistaking Devon had serious problems with Bagent (who does not ? )at 2005 Mike Goulds classic where they had a supermatch.bu since then he is improved a lot.even then when i trained a little with him i realised that he has a very solid wrist.right now i cant imagine how his wrist feels but his latest supermatches give me some ideas about it.in my opinion he has a very strong wrist both about solidness and offensive ability, but his forearm height also helps him to use what he has as good as possible. after watching Brzenk vs Cyplenkov match i realised that Cyplenkov is now much stronger than how he was last year at Zloty.he also came to Vegas with a good strategy but his power was not a controlled power.his strategy kind of reminded me Taras against Brzenk but Cyplenkov is a much stronger version of Taras with a lower quality.if Cyplenkov would have tried a hand controlled strategy then John would have easier times since there is a huge difference between these athletes when it comes to quality. now we have Larratt vs Brzenk supermatch in Istanbul.i saw John's arm ready for Devon.his hand may not seem ready but i disagree about this because of following reasons; 1-Denis gave some damage to John wrist but when you apply that much of pure rowing power then you also lose your hand control and this happenned to Denis.i dont think Devon will apply an uncontrolled back pressure and sacrifice his own hand as well. 2-i am not sure if anyone has the same pure rowing power that Denis has, including Devon. 3-whenever Denis wanted to use his hand in an active way John's wrist showed it's power & capability. if Devon can not toproll John then John will have higher chance to win the early rounds.later rounds will be determined by the difficulty of the earlier matches.John is ready in strength way,he is ready mentally since he wanted to pull Devon.he is a better puller than anyone who has ever lived and in equal conditions it is very hard to beat him.when i say equal i mean when his overall strength and wrist control is not less than his opponent.one thing for sure that Devon has the best endurance but it will work only if the matches will require endurance.also if John gets the better positions then Devon will be spending more of energy than his opponent will.Devon has experienced a Taras vendetta where he won first 2 rounds but lost the last 4 rounds.Devon is not the same Devon and i am not comparing anything, all i say that when you are in bad positions you are spending extra power. if Devon can not toproll John then in my opinion Devon will have very very difficult times as John's arm, rotator and general form looked very good.so the key of this match is John's wrist.there are only two things that Devon can be better than John at the moment; 1-wrist advantage,if he can toproll John 2-endurance i do not know how the first one will result. second one will work only if the matches go in equal positions, not if John gets better positions such as toprolling Devon. i do not believe that either of them clearly stronger than eachother at the moment. see again the "WRIST" factor will play a very important role..

I think Alexey Voevoda had a very strong wrist. He used to curls his wrist in pretty easily and quick in his matches.

8 year bump Who has the strongest wrist p4p now? It's soooo hard to say... there's so many freaky strong lightweights out there that it's hard to keep track of them all, and to say who has the strongest p4p wrist between a 55kg guy or a 60kg guy, 65kg, ect. is so hard! With that being said, I always said Rustam Babayev probably has the strongest cupping wrist strength p4p of all time. Right handed. Left between him and Zhokh I'd say! But Rustam's 95kg now. Hard to say for sure that his cup is better than than anyone elses.

Yes I know, the europeans are freaks when it comes to strength, I've seen videos of lightweights partial curling their bodyweight on a preacher. About the p4p strongest cupping strength I think Khadzimurat is superior, also in terms of rotation and inside strength.

Seeing you're a national champ, you must have decent strength... what can you partial curl and wrist curl?
