Thanks to everyone who was behind getting this event to happen for us pullers. This was one of the best events I have ever gone to in a long time. Thanks as well to all the armwrestlers who come out to make this event as big as it was.
All the hype and messages on the board leading up to the event showed what one might expect there. The event was awesome.... better than one could imagine ... anyone who missed it should be training now for next years event.
The classes were stacked in every division...with many pullers jumping around in weight to see if they stood a better chance in a different class.... I think many were surprise at what they had to go up against. Many surprises happen there....there was no for sure pick as to who would win. It come down to who had the most endurance in the end....some matches happened back to back .... and recovery time played a major factor in some of the results.
I just want to say "Thanks" to all the gentleman I pulled in my classes on the two different days. I cannot say enough about the quality of pullers in thess classes and it was an honor to pull with you. There was a time when I layed in a hospital bed after finding out I lost the use of my left arm.... that I thought I would never be able to enjoy this great sport again. It was only though good friends in this sport that I made the attemped to compete again.....how grateful I am for this opportunity to still have this sport in my life. I love the people I get to continue to meet as well as pull with. I can say this "one armed bandit" is going to be around for a while and try to be a worthy opponent for all in this class to pull with. Making it into the finals of this event was a big feat for myself ... and by doing it by only using my one arm.... makes me feel almost complete again.
Thanks to all the other pullers in different classes as well ..... for some outstanding matches to watch. I hope everyone who entered this event saw their rewards for the hard work and dedication they put in getting ready for this tournament.
Most of all thanks for your friendship and making this sport what it is today! ;D
